Just called through the code red list- got to the O’s. The worst part was getting through to Bart Gordon’s office and the man telling me he wouldn’t be surprised if he voted for it. I asked if he was going to get that cushy NASA job & he said he didn’t know anything about that. Upon hearing he’d vote for it, I got a little unhinged – I grew up in his district & when I turned 18, I went to my first Boot Bart meeting. I started saying ‘How does he sleep at night?’ ‘Doesn’t he know that he represents Tennessee?’ You know, the home of Davy Crockett and Andrew “One man with courage makes a majority” Jackson. The man had to calm me down and move on to the next person.

I know one thing for sure, Bart better not set foot in Tennessee ever again, not even to take his little girl to Dollywood.
