Douchebag Blogger Will Folks Claims That He’s a Victim of ‘Smear Campaign’

The guy who has spent two years spreading salacious rumors about his former employer has taken to recording private phone conversations and claiming that supporters of Nikki Haley are waging a “smear campaign” against him.

A Sullivanesque irony-deficient lack of self-awareness? Whatever.

Dan Riehl interprets Will Folks’ latest eruption to mean that the douchebag has run out of “evidence” and lacks the courage to admit it.

    Yeah, he’s got nothing, never had anything, and merely counted on the salaciousness of his allegation to generate publicity for him and his pathetic blog.

    In that, he was pretty successful.

    BUT while Haley still leads, the innuendo against Barrett as being involved in pushing the scandal has knocked him back and also taken the wind out of McMaster’s sail as well, leaving the probable culprit Andre Bauer sitting in 2nd place and likely to make the runoff.

    The Party establishment might well coalesce around Bauer for the runoff, since Haley is a reformer in the Sanford mold who would battle the legislature, whereas Bauer will give them free rein.
