    Like it or not, Lebron brings in money. People like him give people jobs. The stadium in Miami will be sold out every game. Lower income people will have a job selling shirts, soda and hot dogs.

    He is part of the free market economy.

    Besides, I am huge fan of the NBA.

    Did you read the letter the owner released? It was awful. Truly awful. Stop by and read it Smitty. I think you will agree.

    This is, of course, irritating to us who are Laker fans, who know that the media should be worshipping Phil, Kobe and the boys instead.

    @Aruges,
    Maybe, but the standard messenger/message wisdom applies: even if given to past idiocy, this clip, in and of itself, is well targeted.

    I was thinking Rome as soon as the vid began, then lo and behold, it is allegorically mentioned.

    And the gov. singing in a ‘we want you back’ appeal is pitiful.

    Then perhaps a giant warning label to the effect of “even a broken clock is right twice a day”?

    As for myself, I find little value in promoting the visibility of AJ given his unrepentant trutherism. There is nothing he adds to the current conversation that isn’t being said better by others, so why bother?

    I note that this clip was posted on HotAir headlines this morning and was scrubbed not too long after.

    I agree with the guy’s overall message, but he underestimates the people and their level of information. People are more informed about things now than they have been in literally decades, largely thanks to alternative media (FOX news, blogs, news websites, and talk radio), and I honestly have NEVER seen the American public this angry at a sitting president. Even Clinton didn’t engender quite THIS much anger, despite ushering in the Republican Revolt of ’94. That said, he’s still right that if we don’t set our priorities, we’re screwed. And this idiot governor singing We Are Lebron is a moron, and hopefully John Cassick (or however you spell that) will take his place as governor as a result of it.

    Yeah, American voters are their own worse enemies. They want benefits and entitlements without having to actually pay for them. And we are facing some tough choices in the near future.

    It is a bit bombastic too. Bread and circuses? Okay, we definitely have some of that. 410? The barbarians are not at the gates yet.

    @Aruges,
    Fine. I also post Pat Condell, who is as correct in his warnings about radical Islam, but is an atheist, which has me yawning.
    This is my first AJ exposure. Maybe when I see a clip of him donning a tinfoil hat to block the orbital mind control lasers, I’ll tune him out.

    @Joe,
    You can always build the case that we really don’t have city walls anymore, and therefore barbarians, whatever they are, cannot assail the gates, which don’t exist.

    Yes message needs to come but is this the right truther to do it. The next thing he will be calling that the oil spill is an inside job by both the Bush, Obama, bildenbergs, new world order, and One world Government. And send everyone to fema camps to hid it and Lebron is in on the inside job to hid the collapse

    He does not need the time of day.

    So Alex Jones gets some things wrong and is a bit bombastic (to say the least), but so what? Limbaugh is bombastic and gets some things wrong too. Big deal. Who doesn’t get some things wrong?

    Jones’ message is spot on in this case, regardless what you think of him personally. Smitty’s right, it’s a must watch video.

    I agree that he’s wrong about 911, it was NOT an inside job. That said, look up “Operation Northwoods,” when the CIA DID plan attacks on Americans. It didn’t happen, but the planning did. So there is historic precedent for “truther” fears.

    Our heritage as Americans is one of great distrust of government. So even though I think the “truthers” are wrong in their facts, I do not in any way begrudge them for thinking the government would do it. After all, it’s trust in government that has put us in the mess we’re in.

    The Old Right didn’t trust a word out of a politicians mouth, not even the ones they voted for. Conservatives need to grab some of that pessimistic distrust back, and right quick too!
