One Year Ago Today

Thanks to Bob Belvedere for reminding us that, for the past 365 days, Ted Kennedy has been the only kind of good Democrat.

And Mary Jo Kopechne still could not be reached for comment.

His family did much for the disabled — like my aunt.

So, sorry, I cannot partake in this sort of b.s.

His father had Teddy’s disabled sister lobotomized and institutionalized, so I’m seeing any Kennedy attempt to help the disabled as little more than an attempt to purchase an indulgence.

And George Washington owned slaves, RSM.

Ted Kennedy collaborated with the Soviets in an attempt to defeat Ronald Reagans’ Presidential bid.

Ted Kennedy left a young woman to drown in a car he drove into the water while stinking drunk.

And so on. We haven’t even touched his living relatives, let alone the dead ones.

The kindest thing that I can say about Ted Kennedy on this anniversary of his death is that comment #7 is spot on.
