A Fine Point Of Correction For Thrasymachus

Over on the Meghan McCain appreciation thread, Thrasymachus offers the following:

Meghan is a juvenile egomaniac and attention whore, just like her father.

Sir, there is a difference between juvenile and Juvenal, whose birthday roughly equates to that of Meghan’s father.
Subtle, I know.
Anyway, back to the video editing. Come back in an hour or two for Mike Pence in seven delightful, readily linkable sections. Meghan may be an attention whore, but we are link whores. Which is a whores of a different color.

Dan Collins might note that Meghan’s boobs* are bigger than her father’s, although Mac Daddy McCain’s moobs may be bigger than Cindy’s.

*My wife often argues that the word “tits” implies small ones and that boobs is the better word for above average sized breasts (which is what Meghan has). Boobs is more polite in general company. Yet Althouse recently commmented that the old English “teats” is actually pronounced “tits” and that most people mispronounce it as it is spelled. Teats could arguably apply to any size mammory breast.

I can only comment that I bless and honor John McCain for his service to our Country.

Having said that, I will note that I’d really prefer that he go home and rest upon his deserved Laurels from the USN, and quit trying to add to them by being a total pest to The Nation as a whole.

How was it that Dirty Harry put it? “A man’s got to know his limitations”, I think it was.

Meghan, OTOH? She’s just out there, and out of it.

    ‘nough said on that subject.

Actually, McCain was one of the more dependable conservatives in the House, and didn’t stray too far in his early Senate career. It was only after he got caught up in the Keating Five scandal and “got religion” over the issue of corruption by the financing system for campaigns that he began going off the reservations.

Could have saved himself – and us – a lot of grief by asking a simple question early on: “Hey, John Glenn got the money, too – but didn’t try to influence the process. If he can be honest in the present system, why can’t the rest of us?” But this obsession led him to associate with known leftists who only sought to control speech, not promote it, and those associations led him down the primrose path of being a general pain in the patootie.

Still, he does sport an 80+ lifetime rating from ACU. That’s not “RINO” in my book. 4 out of 5 ain’t bad – it’s just that McCain does tend to pick high-profile wedge issues to cross over to the dark side, which really infuriates conservatives.
