In Case You Missed It: Merry Revolutionary Christmas From CPUSA!

Posted on | January 1, 2011 | 10 Comments

Season’s Greetings from the godless Bolshevik scum:

Christmas time can be so depressing. It brings out some of the worst features of capitalism and rubs them in our faces. . . .
Advertisements spur on feelings of guilt if you don’t buy enough of the right kinds of consumer products for people you love. Creative financing is offered so that lenders can make even more profit. And it is an environmental disaster … more plastic, cardboard and packaging is produced, carted about, and dumped into landfills, vacant lots, and incinerators at Christmas time than at any other time of the year. . . .

If you want to laugh, read the whole thing, which hijacks the Nativity story into a Marxist propaganda tale about the proletarian struggle against bourgeois imperialism.

UPDATE: Adam Baldwin — the actor from Full Metal Jacket, Firefly and NBC’s Chuck sent me a Tweet calling attention to the CPUSA’s 2009 formation of “a new Religion Commission to strengthen its work among religious people and organizations.” As Baldwin says, this is comedy “gold,” because the chairman of the commission felt obliged to make this admission:

The Bolsheviks adopted an official atheist position, and for many years waged a struggle against organized religion.

To put it rather mildly. One cannot be a believing Christian and also be a Marxist-Leninist. So who did the CPUSA choose to head its Religion Commission? An Episcopalian.

That there’s funny, I don’t care who you are.

These bastards ought to make the first move by shutting down their operations, digging a hole and burying themselves alive. Imagine how grateful Mother Earth would be if all environmental whackos were to follow this edict!

Did you miss the part where they said their position isn’t the same as the old Bolsheviks?

I believe at least some iterations of Marxism have long since shed their official positions of atheism. Take Cuba, where long ago (okay, only 1992) Castro found out he couldn’t beat 60% Catholicism.

Looks like they’re trying to work within the system. Perhaps bring back the left’s old social gospel strategy.

And what about all the noise, noise, noise, noise, CPUSA? For ninety six years you’ve put up with it now; you must stop Christmas from coming, but how?

The communists drag out the “Green theme” like it was a photo of a mouse tied to a string they could yank to see if the cat jumps. Given how Marxists treat the actual environment it takes brass for them to mention the topic. That was always one thing Communism produced, arrogance. OK, tow things arrogance and destruction, of economies, spirits, lives, hopes and even the land air and water. Read Vaclav Havel’s “New Years Speech.” Twenty-one years ago someone looked out the window.

Mainline churches (what remains of them) still trot out the old Social Gospel.

The Episcopalian bit is important. “Mainline” is a term like “liberal” or “heterosexual.” These are terms made up by people who oppose the objects the terms point to. They are, essentially, battle field prep by the enemy intending to force one to fight on their terms and turf.

I am an Episcopalian and also a UCC member and cannot attend services with either organization, and for the same reason: they are secular political organizations, or at best, sentimental moral clubs. Churches they are not. Nothing transcendent comes anywhere near them.

Except in rare and minuscule (by numbers) monastic presences, the entire Protestant, Reformed and Anglican spiritual movement is given over to secular politics or moral clubs, and always with the socialist animus. The social gospel of late 19th Century was socialist (“liberal” as “socialist” took its first application there) and successfully marched through the entire Protestant-Reformed-Anglican institutions thereafter. The most communist/socialist of all, as it turned out, were ECUSA and UCC, which are historically integral through the CofE and New England Separatism /Puritanism (Harvard, Yale)

So CPUSA and ECUSA joining in any way is a natural. Makes perfect sense to them in their history.

Nor am I RC. I stand still with the reformers’ fundamental criticism of intermediation between believer and God (or what is one and the same, self and Self).

So I at least am a Christian without an organization home or tangible community. I have to be content with the monastery. CPUSA cannot march through it or me.
