Michael Moore: Own a Gun? Racist!

Posted on | February 22, 2011 | 14 Comments

“There’s a reason why we want to own these guns. . . . The vast majority of these guns are owned by people who live in safe parts of town, or mostly in suburbs and rural areas, places where there are very few murders. . . . Why do you have a gun? What are you afraid of? . . .  That imaginary person who’s going to break into your home and kill you — who’s that person going to look like? It’s not freckle-faced Jimmy down the street, is it, really? . . . We never really want to talk about the racial or class part of this, in terms of how it’s the poor or people of color that we imagine, we’re afraid of. . . . We also need to address the larger issue of, why are we such a violent people? And not just personal, domestic violence, but a nation that invades other countries, that has such a huge weapons budget, that just seems so intent on violence being the answer.”

Yet Mr. Moore either doesn’t know or doesn’t care that anti-gun laws started out as a way to keep blacks from being able to defend themselves against racists.

Shaking my head in disbelief. Mr. Moore, it is better to sit quietly and allow others to assume your ignorance, than to open your mouth and prove it.

I think people just agree with whatever he says because they’re afraid he will eat them.

To be fair, freckle-faced Jimmy probably does want to bust a cap in Moore’s fat ass. I understand he reads Sarah Palin while watching Glenn Beck reruns.

Trouble is, the line is just so damn long…

He’s too stupid to see the cause and effect, or at least the correlation, of high gun-ownership in those areas and the relatively few murders.

And unless he’s packing a harpoon gun, Morca would be unfazed….

What a fucking asshole Moore is. Sorry for swearing, but it is true.

And guess what Michael, most crime in the black community is black on black crime. Why are you being racist in denying black Americans the right to defend themselves against that?

And as for racist fears of white Americans against people of color? There is plenty of caucasian on caucasian crime in America. I am not prejudical against people of color. I am prejudicial against people who commit crimes.

Damn, you beat me to it Baron.

    Why do I have a gun? Because I can — that’s right.

Sort of the same reason I blog at http://rhymeswithright.mu.nu — because it is my right to do so.

Now tell me, Mikey — why do you want to strip people of their rights? And wouldn’t you be screaming like the proverbial stuck pig if we decided to start trying to take away your right to make your anti-Americna movies?

MM is nuts. I live in a poor area in FL where my biggest fear is home invasion by the white (aka cracker) meth-heads that live in my area. It *will* be little freckled-face Jimmy busting my door down.

“Why do you own a gun?”

I will answer your question, Mike, but first answer me mine. Why does a 56 year old man with a net worth over 50 mil show up at a news agency interview wearing an old sweatshirt and a baseball cap? Why?

MM is a dunce. Apparently where he lives, there is no crime. Sorry fatty, we don’t all live in a gated community.
