Reading Meghan So You Don’t Have To

The right half of the blogosphere owes an enormous debt of gratitude to Betsy Woodruff, William F. Buckley Fellow at the National Review Institute, for she has done something few of us would have the courage to do. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, for our sake Ms. Woodruff took upon herself the vile, filthy, nigh-unspeakable task of reading the latest opus of RINO Poster Girl Meghan McCain, America, You Sexy Bitch, and writing a brief review of this appalling tome.


Now, nobody has ever accused Ms. McCain of being the brightest bulb on the tree, but it is evident from Woodruff’s review that the MSNBC commentator has sunk to a new low of incoherence, such that she apparently finds former Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich the solution to America’s political problems today. The less said about her (more) liberal co-author’s scribblings the better. Nonetheless, I recommend Woodruff’s review, not because any of us need a reminder of just how useless La McCain is as any kind of political commentator, but because in these stressful times of double-digit unemployment, autocratic Cabinet secretaries, and mad bombers turned political operatives, we all need a good laugh once in a while, and Woodruff’s review delivers.

    I do not feel I owe Betsy Woodruff a thing. I, like most sensible people, was not planning on reading the book; I was waiting  for the movie to hit my local 3-D IMAX theater.

    I can think of no greater commentary on the decline of American culture than that people actually buy this book.  Yet, it’s already at #7,679 at Amazon – with a bullet!

    I for one will not speak an unkind word against Michael Ian Black.  After spending days on end in an RV with Meghan McCain surely he has suffered enough.

    OK, it could have been a SmartCar, if either of them knew how to work it…
