    It’s “World PMI Day” when most countries release their data on manufacturing indicators, and it’s been down, down, down, from China to Europe.  Still, markets chase hope that central bankers will choose to stimulate and inflate – in fact Treasury is leaning on the EU to do just that to enable the PIIGS to borrow at affordable rates.

    Of course the only reason those countries can’t borrow cheaply is they are incapable of repaying the money, which tends to make people hesitant.  Geithner should have submitted the problem to Turbo Tax or something.
