GREETINGS FROM LIMA, OHIO

Posted on | September 24, 2012 | 34 Comments

LIMA, Ohio
The Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center is packed for this afternoon’s “Victory Town Hall” event with Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan. The WiFi, unfortunately, is mercilessly slow. Will update as possible.

UPDATE: RNC Chairman Reince Priebus just held an impromptu press gaggle and said, “We’re going to outspend the DNC 10-to-1 for the next six weeks.” Asked about polls showing Romney-Ryan trailing in Ohio, Priebus said “we’re within a field goal and we’re going to crush [the Democrats] on the ground.”

Asked about Sunday’s appearances by Mitt Romney and Barack Obama on CBS 60 Minutes, Priebus said that Obama was “whistling past the graveyard, trying to re-write history” about the weak economy.

UPDATE II: A couple of Tweets to remember:

Paul Ryan just took the stage.

UPDATE III: Damn this slow WiFi. Can’t get photos to upload. Frustrating. Anyway, I’ll post some later. Here’s something that Paul Ryan said about Obama: “Since he’s admitted he can’t change Washington, we need to change presidents.”

I feel somewhat uplifted by your post. According to the MSM, Romney might as well pack it in. Looking forward to more posts.

Glad you made it! While you’re in Lima you should stop in at the Kewpee and have a burger and some chili. Lima, Dayton and Cleveland are ballsey places for the R/R campaign to hit. That’s O&Co country. If they can turn those locales the slightest shade of purple, it’ll be a route. Looking forward to hearing the truth the local media dare not speak…and a brew or 12…

Stacy, get one of those hotspot devices that work off your cell phone plan.

They aren’t real fast, but you can be the only one on ’em, or share with a couple folks, and they are fast enough for most tasks. (Not so great for watching video, unless you are in a 4G zone. They are plenty fast on 4G.)

To hear the MSM tell, every day since the embassy attacks on 9/11 has been a game-changing disaster for Romney. And yet still tied in both major tracking polls?

They say “Obama leading in battleground states” but he visits and spends in “safe” Wisconsin?

They are desperately trying to create a “bandwagon effect” – it is known that a couple % of voters decide late based mainly on who they believe is winning – for Obama, and discourage anti-O voters from turning out.

    It’s disgraceful.
