By history, it is difficult to be optimistic about Scott Brown. An incumbent with late numbers under 50% is in trouble. It’s too bad Massachusetts is ready to send the radical Elizabeth Warren to Washington, but they kept Teddy in office for decades so no outrage seems so great.

Agreed. Once you’ve voted for a pseudo-aristocratic murderer, there is no bottom.

On the bright side, McCaskill & Tester are under 50%, too.

Brown has run too far to the Left. With this campaign, he has committed the final act of abandonment of the people who got him elected. And he has not shown any charm in his debates, just snark and sarcasm.

    So…
    (1) He’s alienated the TEA Party and their allies in a state where Willard doesn’t stand a chance of winning, so there are no coattails to be grabbed.
    (2) Faced with the choice of a Democrat and a ‘Democrat’, the nimrods in the Bay State will choose the Democrat.

It was Scottie’s to lose and it seems he’s done so.

I’d like to wait until the bodies are cold to do the post-mortems, if you don’t mind.
