Late Night Administrivia

The death march to April 15 has begun, which means that instead of the previous 46 hour a week schedule I was working, I will be working 54 hours a week until the end of the tax season. Feel free to quote Han Solo on the subject of rewards to me. This is going to force some changes to my blogging around here…first of all, Live at Five will be shifted to Live At Six for the duration. I can’t seem to stay awake late enough to get it done while going to bed early enough to get a decent night’s sleep, and waking up early enough to do it isn’t working any more either. So, an hour’s delay. The FMJRA will still be posting on the nights of the 6th and 13th, and Rule Five Sunday will be back on the 7th with a Super Double-Coverage Illness Makeup Edition, featuring a contribution from the foremost scourge of the Unspeakable Armenian. There will be a return to normalcy on the 14th once the backlog from last week is cleared out.

After tax season is over, I’m taking a few days off to visit family and friends in Minnesota; regular linkagery will resume on Tuesday, April 23, God and Southwest Airlines permitting. In the meantime, aspiring guestbloggers and/or linkmonglers should submit resumes, writing samples, and full-length photographs (Speedos optional) along with your gruel and grog requirements to the proprietor, one R. Stacy McCain, no later than this Friday. Applicants are advised that due to the strictures of the Test Act of 1673, no PopishCatholic individuals can be accepted without an Act of Indemnity and/or a completed I-9 form*. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Damn!…I was hoping it wasn’t a joke – I haven’t witnessed a battle over transubstantiation for such a long time.

A joke? And here I thought I had the chance to be a guest blogger.

Of course, that papist part did me in. πŸ™

Or was just the completed I-9 part the joke? Because the I-9 is a joke!

“What is WRONG with you people?” (well, along with the longest damned “out of office” message in history.)

…..lol…So, would you like that alphabetically, chronologically, suppositorily, have a drive up window?
Go have fun. Hurry back. lol….you only wish we were all lining up to do your job while you’re gone.

Naturally, I’m not Catholic so I had to go look the freakin’ bigass word up….. no religious argument, but I could note the correlation with Obama turning everything he touches into….something else.

Well, you are a guest blogger. But remember what mom said about them not buying the cow if you’re giving the milk away free? Even the cow is a guest blogger here.

Okay, maybe that was the wrong question to ask here. πŸ™‚ Most of the post was about things being late, not me fleeing to the hinterlands, though.

Well, I turn into a freelance (=unemployed) accountant on April 16, so I don’t get any benefit from the extensions. πŸ™

Tax ended, as far as I’m concerned, the first weekend in Feb. But, then, I was wise enough to become an Engineer rather than an accountant.

Tax season ended. Obviously, my brain out ran my fingers.

Stacy’s only prejudiced against Catholics because GK Chesterton is funnier than Jeff Foxworthy.

Maybe not Ron White though, although Chesterton never did a piece about being “drunk in public” so we’ll never really know.

Typically for a Democrat, Obama does it backwards.

Ahhh, well at least his wombatness is linking my blog a lot more frequently. Of course, that’s ’cause I send him the links!

Why be a witness when you can participate? Or is this a case of preferring “let’s you and him fight?” πŸ™‚
