Can Anyone Verify These Disturbing Allegations About Trayvon’s Family?

A commenter on the earlier post wrote this:

Here’s something else you don’t know. From the age of 3 until age 15 or 16, Trayvon Martin lived NOT with Sybrina Fulton but with Tracy Martin, a known member of the Crips, and his then-wife Alicia Stanley-Martin, who was mentioned above. Alicia Stanley-Martin in that interview with Anderson Cooper said Trayvon spent 90% of his life in her home being raised with her two daughters from a previous relationship.
When Tracy Martin dumped Alicia for Brandy he sent Trayvon to live with Sybrina — a woman he hardly knew. The two didn’t get along at all. Sybrina kicked Trayvon out two days before he jumped Zimmerman.
Oddly, at that point Tracy was living with his sister because he’d dumped Alicia but hadn’t yet convinced Brandy to let him shack up with her and her son Chad. According to Trayvon’s text messages the plan was for him and Tracy to move in with Brandy soon but there was no definite date.
So Sybrina kicked Trayvon out knowing that Tracy had no home of his own, meaning Trayvon had no home to go to other than his aunt’s house where his father was staying.
Mother-of-the-year award material.
The part that gets me, however, is that Sybrina would let a known member of the Crips to raise her child from age three. I’m sorry but that’s too messed up for words.
You ought to check out Trayvon’s text messages, the released ones anyway. All evidence points to Tracy initiating Trayvon into the Crips, including purchasing illegal guns on the street. Yes, you read that correctly.
The text messages may be found at the website created and ran by Mark O’Mara. Look at the ten text message reports. Oh, and Tracy Martin’s Crip nickname is “Fruit.”

Is this true? The commenter references the “Third Supplemental Discovery” at George Zimmerman Legal Case, and says that all this information has previously been cited by The Last Refuge, a.k.a. The Conservative Treehouse. I find it difficult to believe that anyone — even the most biased liberal reporter at the New York Times — covering this case would look at that and say, “Irrelevant.”

As I’ve explained elsewhere, I didn’t pay much attention to this story when it broke, because in March/April 2012 I was covering the end of the GOP presidential primary campaign. Controversy about a shooting in Florida wasn’t really on my beat. So you’ll forgive me if I’m re-hashing anything everybody already knew. But . . . Trayvon’s father was a member of the Crips? Really? This is “irrelevant”?

Welcome to the New Normal, I guess.

No, he’s on top of you, in a ground and pound, banging your head on the concrete, and reaching for your gun while saying, “You’re gonna die tonight,” so assuming he’s going to kill you is A Ok. That’s pretty sensible thinking.

You seem to be denying that Trayvon was mounted on Zimmerman and ground-and-pounding his head into the pavement. Do I have that correct?

You don’t seem too concerned with the morality of Trayvon sucker punching then ground-and-pound the head of an innocent man into the pavement. Why is that?

When the dispatcher says “We don’t need you to do that” Zimmerman replies, “Okay” then proceeds to tell the dispatcher where the police can meet him. You left that part out and fabricated a lie that ZImmerman continued to follow. I would normally assume you simply don’t know the facts, but since so many here have provided you with those facts I can only conclude that you have an agenda beyond the facts of the case. You are an evil person bent on perpetuating several known lies about a good man, while trying to whitewash the actions of a known thug. Congratulations! You are officially part of the problem. You do not want a solution.

  12. holygoat
    July 17th, 2013 @ 3:23 pm

And one would assume incorrectly. And the point is moot, anyway, as Zimmerman abided by the dispatchers request.

You know this, but you simply don’t care. You must cling to these known falsehoods as they are the only links to your position that Zimmerman is a racist murderer and Trayvon is an innocent young child.

The actual facts are 180-degrees fro your representation, though, and that’s what really burns you. You really WANTED Zimmerman to be a raging Stormfront racist bent on smoking innocent black children. You NEEDED Zimmerman to be this, but since the facts prove he isn’t you MUST do your best to revise history to show that he is anyway. You are a truly sick person.

Also, why are you racist against Hispanics?

If Trayvon was so scared of Zimmerman, why did he leave his backyard to look for him? That doesn’t pass the smell test.

TM was not afraid of GZ, based on TM’s actions. He went looking for GZ to put a beating on him. Once he threw the first punch, everything that followed was TM’s responsibility, including his death.

“binding legal value”. That folks will assume someone possesses legal authority that they do not, in fact, possess, is quite common. So common, in fact, that the Sanford PD apparently had, previous to this incident, made it clear to their dispatchers that they shouldn’t even phrase their interactions as orders.

I see where the problem is here. You don’t have a problem with blacks beating down Hispanics, so when it does happen, there’s no way the Hispanic can be called a “victim.” Your position stems from your obvious racism towards Hispanics.

Most of American thinks you are a fool at best. Hey 17 year olds can get charged with capital murder. 17 year olds can be sent to adult prison. Martin wasn’t the baby faced 12 year old when he was beating Zimmerman. If a white 17 year old was in Martin’s place would you be throwing such a pity party for the thug? Martin was young and dumb. He came back to teach Zimmerman a lesson by giving him an ass whipping. Zimmerman wasn’t obliged to die or have his head bashed in just to appease you. Martin made a stupid mistake and paid for it. That’s all there is to this.

The boy wouldn’t have worn red if his dad were a Crip.

Tray called Sybrina “Cupcakes”; he had her name tattooed on his wrist. Disinfo out there saying she knew nothing about her son. She took him skiing and horseback riding to get him away from strictly city culture.

Unfortunately,Tracy split from Tray’s stepmom (actually a couple years before he left her, he was seeing Brandi). The stepmom had reared him from the age of 3, taking on most of the duties-lovingly- because Tracy was away most of the time (dang, it’s late and her name has slipped my mind).

Tray’s behavior started changing when things started going bad between them, around 2 years before he left her for Brandi.

Tray was a troubled teen, but was full of love for children, and his family. Sadly, the cohesive immediate family life had gone down the tubes from the time dad became involved with Brandi.

    It is terribly sad.

  47. chris ericksen

Trayvon had done NOTHING wrong that night. George Zimmerman became suspicious of Trayvon- and if what he reported to the dispatcher was true- I can understand his worries considering the history of the condo

    HOWEVER

When he followed a teen who had NO idea why he was doing it- and wound up following him on foot for a lot longer than he admitted to, is it any wonder that Trayvon would feel PURSUED- not merely followed? What was in GZ’s mind was one thing, what Trayvon must have felt was quite another.

SELF-DEFENSE? Waitaminit: George Zimmerman stated that Trayvon punched him AFTER GZ went searching his pockets for his cell phone; what was Trayvon supposed to think he was searching for??
It was TRAYVON who was standing his ground- was he supposed to just stand there while this “creepy- a–ed ” person pulled out a weapon?

And how do we know the entire struggle wasn’t over GZ’s gun? Just suppose, GZ startled, actually reached for his gun out of panic, and not his cell phone?

Whatever physical damage Tray caused GZ, when cleaned up showed it to be impossible for Tray to have hit his head on concrete multiple times. It is likely the first cut came from falling backwards after Tray punched him.

But GZ lied far more than that: he claimed that he wasn’t really following Tray further- after he told the dispatcher that he wouldn’t continue following, He claimed he was cutting through to find out the street address near where he’d seen Tray last (when Tray started running, that’s when GZ got out of his vehicle). GZ claimed that he had to get to the street because there were no addresses on the back of the condos.. This statement was proven to be a blatant lie- there were large house numbers by each patio.

And he also claimed that he didn’t remember the name of the street, so had to look- the MAIN ENTRANCE to the condo complex! There were only THREE streets in the entire complex and GZ had been living there 4 years and was a watch captain.

He didn’t want the police to know that he was following longer, and that that is what provoked the fight. And he never identified himself to Trayvon- he admitted this. Said he had had no time but that was nonsense: he had several chances- from the time he trailed him while in the vehicle, to when Tray asked him why he was following him.

The boy didn’t just leap out and attack GZ- again, by reaching into his jacket (or was it for his holster?) GZ was the one who caused what happened.

By doing what he did he nullified the right to the legal theory of self-defense. On the other hand, had he lived, Trayvon could have claimed this.

GZ’s irresponsible actions- his lack of common sense- his having taken classes in crime prevention, yet being clueless that maybe Trayvon ran not because he was doing anything wrong, but to get away from HIM- his taking a loaded gun into a darkened area where he knew his “suspect” had disappeared- which could have caused not only his death, but the death of innocent bystanders who might have been witnesses had Trayvon really been a thug about to pounce on him- yes, all these things make his shooting of Trayvon inexcusable.

  48. chris ericksen
    July 20th, 2013 @ 6:15 am

Sorry, conniption- it was TRAYVON who was defending himself from the man who followed him, and who had reached into his jacket saying he didn’t have a problem after Trayvon had asked him what his problem was- (after first asking him why he was following him).

To George, it was following but to Trayvon it was pursuing. Trayvon had every right to punch GZ after GZ’s response and reaching into his jacket.

  49. chris ericksen
    July 20th, 2013 @ 6:17 am

So Trayvon shouldn’t have been the least bit worried that someone was pursuing him in the dark when he’d done nothing? I say “pursuing” because that’s what it would have seemed to HIM- and I’ll bet to you, too, had you been in his place.

  50. chris ericksen
    July 20th, 2013 @ 6:19 am

Nan- he didn’t punch GZ until AFTER GZ reached into his pocket; GZ had just answered him that he didn’t have a problem before the reach. And you think that Tray couldn’t have thought that he were armed? Seriously?
