Why has Amanda Bynes gone crazy? Why is Sydney Leathers being treated like a celebrity? Why can’t Anthony Weiner remember how many women he “sexted”? Why is Miley Cyrus naked? Why does Bob Filner think “therapy,” and not resignation, is the answer?

Don’t tell me we don’t know the answer to why President Ho Chi Minh is in the White House and Amanda Bynes is in the nuthouse. This kind of escalating madness doesn’t “just happen,” does it?

I recall James Dobson and Jerry Falwell talking about the effects of chaos in one’s personal life, and the effects of chaos (social anarchy) in society. But, being Christian, they were dismissed.

Of course, has not humanity seen this same level of decadence in the UK during Victoria’s reign? During Louis XIV’s reign? The regimes of the Caesars?

“Girlfriend,” I think, is the key word here. Those of us with wives may view matters differently.

Also, there seems to have been a generational shift. Thinking back to, say, 1978, I don’t remember anyone complaining about pubic hair as a nuisance, probably because everybody had it. And we didn’t have this awful confusion (which I blame on “safe sex” indoctrination) between the appetizer and the entree. Apparently, the younger generation have been taught that the normal penis-vagina combination is dangerous or something — hey, call me “Bobby Danger.”
