Paraphrasing Jay Carney, but not by much:

“There is no question that over the past several years that the Al Qaeda core has been greatly diminished, not least because of the elimination of Osama bin Laden,” Carney said.

When was the last time we closed down embassies for a full week? And we’re still a month shy of the anniversary of the demise of Ambassador Stevens and the other three.

It’s probably hyperbole to postulate that, in another month, Al Qaeda shall be fully gone, as well as our entire State Department. But who can tell, in this nutty day?

I get my sesame bagel, dark toasted, with butter — and prepared by this absolute babe who rocks the Daisy Dukes — every weekday morning on my way to work, and while al Qaeda might be more substantial than that bagel, Barack Hussein Obama and Jay “Baghdad Bob” Carney are not.
