INCREDIBLE DISASTER! CATASTROPHE! APOCALYPSE!

Posted on | November 30, 2013 | 76 Comments

Being an Alabama fan means expectations so high as to be, objectively, unrealistic. It is impossible that the Crimson Tide could have undefeated seasons and national championships every year.

Yet anything short of perfection is failure to the ‘Bama fan.

So . . . we lost.

To Auburn.

It was an exciting game, but . . . we lost.

To Auburn.

Psychological trauma.

This is almost worse than when Obama was re-elected.

Oh, pshaw. There is no one alive who hates even Obama as much as the rest of the SEC hates Alabama.

    <chortle>

  30. Jimilee
    November 30th, 2013 @ 10:16 pm

If the teams win out…. will the unbeaten Seminoles and Buckeyes vie for the BCS championship? Or does SEC still get a shot at the title with a one-loss Auburn?

I smell controversy. Can’t wait for the playoff system.

  31. Jimilee

I am afraid that Auburn might have won itself right out of the BCS national championship game.

The best we can hope for is an Ohio State loss to Michigan State and then face Florida State in the championship game.

Of course, we have to get past Atlanta next week to get there. I wonder what miracle is planned for next week?

Saban made a bad call. If the ball is ten yards closer I could agree with a field goal attempt. But from the thirty nine you have to put the ball in McCarron’s hands. Saban blew it. Foster had a terrible night and it’s amazing Alabama doesn’t have a top shelf kicker two years after that miserable overtime loss to LSU.

You would think that Alabama would give Derrick Henry a chance or two to carry the ball. They could also look at different soccer players world wide for a scholarship on the Alabama football team. It had the feel of the loss to LSU when we couldn’t kick a field goal there, either!
