Obama’s IRS Scandal Cover-Up

Posted on | January 9, 2014 | 91 Comments

OK, now it’s time to begin impeachment proceedings:

The Justice Department selected an avowed political supporter of President Obama to lead the criminal probe into the IRS targeting of tea party groups, according to top Republicans who said Wednesday that the move has ruined the entire investigation.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell E. Issa, California Republican, and regulatory affairs subcommittee Chairman Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican, said they have discovered that the head of the investigation is Barbara Kay Bosserman, a trial lawyer in the Justice Department who donated more than $6,000 to Mr. Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, as well as several hundred dollars to the national Democratic Party.
“The department has created a startling conflict of interest,” Mr. Issa and Mr. Jordan said in a letter sent Wednesday and reviewed by The Washington Times. “It is unbelievable that the department would choose such an individual to examine the federal government’s systematic targeting and harassment of organizations opposed to the president’s policies.”

The fake investigation led by a hack loyalist is a classic cover-up move. The Justice Department is now clearly part of a widespread pattern of corruption in the administration, Eric Holder’s resignation is long overdue, and upholding the rule of law requires that Congress open an impeachment inquiry immediately.

It’s transparency, baby! Obama’s is the most transparently corrupt administration in history!

It’s not just targeting of Tea Party tax-exempt applications — there are also numerous suspicious “coincidences” in the assignment of IRS audits that appear to target conservatives and other political opponents.

IRS audits that are politically-motivated are even more serious of an issue, I believe, because they threaten every single tax-paying citizen — not just those groups who are applying for tax-exempt status. Not only should we worry about the NSA looking over our shoulder, but the IRS knocking at our door?

Overall, I’m starting to believe that the issues involving the IRS may very well be, if Congress does its job, the source of this administration’s downfall, which I just wrote about here:

I agree. But the House Rs can begin the process right now, then ramp it up after November if the Rs retake the Senate. The little Mohammed wannabe will be a complete lame duck by then, but he deserves to be thusly upbraided and tarnished for history’s sake alone.

Isn’t this “investigation” pointless anyway? Can’t the IRS apparachiks just “plead the Fifth” to all inquiry and waltz away?

I have heard that the IRS wasn’t really an actual agency of government (a private, independent corporation?) and that it was exempt from any outside scrutiny or oversight by anyone, including the government…

Lois Lerner at the IRS is a jew! Doug Schulman chief is IRS is a Jew. They were the two top figures in the corruption and abuse of tea party and conservative groups prior to the 2012
    Elections.

I live in New York. They are overwhelmingly left wing progressive lunatics! Name one Jew in the house of representative or senate that is NOT an enemy of the 2nd amendment? You cannot! I can name dozens

History lesson now. They were hugely disproportionately involved in the Bolshevik revolution in Russia. Google Jewish Bolshevism and you will find the institute for historical review. All the names of the Jews are listed there. The historical documents are not imaginary. They are factual

So the reason I ask is simple. Can we expect a partisan hack Jew at the justice dept to investigate 2 other partisan corrupt Jews at the IRS? The answer in obvious. It stinks!

And please do not reply with politically correct garbage. If you do not know the history of Jewish radicalism then you need to educate yourself

    Supreme Court:

    Darth vader Ginsberg
    Steven Breyer

Both appointed by billy blow job Clinton!

    And the latest obnoxious yenta
Elena Lagan who has never been a judge and who is openly hostile
    Towards the 2nd amendment

All of them rammed obama care
Down our throats! Clearly unconstitutional but these psychopaths do not care about the constitution

It’s far too late. IRS is staffed mainly by union members and managed by Democratic career bureaucrats overseen by a few political appointees.

When we find turds in the punch bowl, we don’t need to audit the punch. We just throw it out.

Radical tax simplification at all levels, probably including a flat tax for individuals and a drastically simplified corporate tax structure, is the only way. We have to eliminate virtually all the employees, and all of their discretion.

  29. Adjoran
    January 10th, 2014 @ 12:42 am

Nah. Bebe was rich, and a friend of Nixon’s, but they never tried to stir up false conspiracies about him at the level they have about Koch or Halliburton or even the Bush family connections.

Mainly, they laughed at his name.

  30. Adjoran
    January 10th, 2014 @ 12:44 am

Unfortunately, that is just the sort of move that would enable the Obama media to change the subject, making him the victim and stirring up minority turnout for the midterms.

  31. Adjoran
    January 10th, 2014 @ 12:46 am

Conviction in the Senate requires 67 votes. There is exactly zero chance of it, even if our midterms break records.

It would be an exercise akin to banging your head against a wall. The only benefit is it would feel better when you stop.

  32. Adjoran
    January 10th, 2014 @ 12:54 am

As usual, it appears math is too hard, so I will try to clarify.

To convict in the Senate requires 67 votes, a 2/3 majority.

    Remember Andrew Johnson?

Okay, for those who were no better at history, remember Bill Clinton?

Anyone who thinks we could find 67 votes in the Senate to convict Obama is just plain old-fashioned nuts. The only Democrat who potentially might vote to convict is Manchin, and there are rumors he might defect to independent before his next election. Even with a midterm sweep, we would need Democrats to vote to convict.

If you believe a Democrat is ever going to vote to convict Barack Obama, frankly, it’s beyond crazy and well into just stupid.

Impeachment would be a giant distraction from ObamaCare – and anything we manage to dig up on other scandals that are still out there like Fast & Furious, Benghazi, or IRS – enabling the Democrats to circle the wagons, the media to black out bad news for Obama and spotlight “the witch hunt,” and the Democratic Party to stir up its base to turn out in force in the midterms.

It would be even dumber than the shutdown, and drag on for months.

The provisions in the law that are claimed to limit political interference in this “agency” actually make it a de facto independent organisation!

The Clinton trial in the Senate showed clearly that the Dems would never ever convict one of their own,
Clinton was impeached by the House for perjury. Every Dem in the Senate not only took an oath to be objective during the trial, but they signed a certificate with the same vow.
Each and every Dem in the Senate found Clinton Not Guilty, even Lieberman. Clinton admitted he was guilty, a judge in a related trial found him guilty. But each and every amoral Dem somehow found him quite innocent. This was the record baseness in the Senate in history.
There should be a monument somewhere in DC, a Monument of Infamy and Warning with each Dem Senator’s name on it.

Bosserman? It’s not exactly a gentile name.

As far as I can tell every IRS individual involved in targeting the Tea Party so far has been non-gentile:

    – Miller
    – Lerner
    – Werfel
    – Bosserman

    Why retreat from the truth?
