She Killed Three Men for ‘Fun’

My first idea was to headline this story “Crazier Than Selena Gomez,” but even an ex-Disney starlet would probably never go as far off the rails as British serial killer Joanna Dennehy:

Joanna Dennehy, 31, pleaded guilty in November to murdering three men by stabbing them in the heart and dumping their bodies in ditches in Cambridgeshire.
Her alleged accomplices, Leslie Layton, 36, and 7-foot-2-inch Gary “Stretch” Richards, 47, are now on trial. Providing evidence against them, Dennehy’s friend Georgina Page described how the confessed killer likened herself and Richards to Bonnie and Clyde, and “jumped around like a schoolgirl” when she learned of news reports about the murders, according to the BBC.
New photos of Dennehy, Richards and Layton, which portray the confessed killer and her alleged accomplices in various poses, were shown in court Monday. . . .
Witness Mark Lloyd was in the same car as Dennehy and Richards when they allegedly pulled over and attacked two men on the street in April of last year. The pair was already wanted for the murder of three men.
Lloyd said Dennehy, a mother of two, flirted with him before he got in the car. Once there, she admitted to killing three men, and Lloyd said he had no choice but to join them in their quest for what Dennehy called her “fun.”
Dennehy told Richards “I want my fun. I need you to get my fun,” as her alleged accomplice drove the car, Lloyd said in court Monday.
Denehy’s victims include her landlord and two other men. . . .
According to the Mirror, the woman allegedly bragged to her accomplices that she’d killed eight people, glibly remarking, “Oops, I did it again.”

Wait a minute — “Oops, I did it again”?

Wasn’t that a song by ex-Disney starlet Britney Spears? But I doubt even Britney would do anything this crazy.

Miley Cyrus maybe, but not Britney.

These are the cases where, in my opinion, the death penalty fits perfectly.
The tough part is figuring out what to do to punish the educators and family members who let her–and maybe in some cases helped her–turn into this kind of person.

She’s of the age group who grew up knowing that society viewed life (or at least certain lives) as disposable for convenience’s sake. Abortion because babies are punishment. The Liverpool Care Pathway. How much of a step is it for someone raised with that mindset to start considering it OK to dispose of other lives for fun?

Precisely. Psycho or sociopaths have personality disorders which are the result of willful behavior. Bundy, Holmes, BTK, all quite sane. Just very evil, like this lass. Serial killers are seldom insane. People who are clinically insane can’t hide their activities. Delusional and psychotic like the woman in Houston who drowned her kids in the tub as opposed to Susan Smith who clearly knew what she was doing. One is culpable the other is not.

Well, she pleaded guilty, and British law is different from ours. We ought to eliminate the not guilty by reason of insanity option and replace it with guilty, but insane.

But what she did was clearly insane, by definition. She killed three men just for kicks, knowing that if she got caught she’d spend the rest of her life in jail. There’s no way to define that as rational.

And if she were an American, and her crime committed here? Let’s say she was in Pennsylvania, which sentences gobs of people to death. Since the reinstatement of capital punishment, the Keystone State has actually executed only three people, and all three “volunteered,” by choosing to end their appeals.

She’d spend the rest of her life on death row here, and die from something other than execution.

While the pardoning power technically remains with the crown, the monarch these days does not exercise this power absent consultation. However, I could very easily picture King Charles, once Her Majesty the Queen goes to her eternal reward, exercising clemency on his own, and he would pardon this twit if a capital sentence were imposed.

Actually, I’d put her in solitary for the rest of her life. No contact with other humans. Never let outside. No windows. No medical care. Nothing but bread and water through a slot in the door.

The latter part of your comment makes no sense. I dont support abortion after 20 weeks but before then absolutely and it is the women’s choice since itt’s her body and the one forced to carry it. I can just imagine what your reaction would be if the government forced you to keep something in your body against your will. A giant whine fest based purely on how you guys do nothing but whine about incandescent light bulbs. Insanity is very difficult to prove and generally results in longer sentences when it is successful than criminal charges. Like Jack Nicholoson found out in “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” be careful what you wish for when pleading insanity.

The government forces us to do many things with our bodies, Oik: we are forced to pay taxes, we are forced to wear clothing in public, males are forced to sign up for military conscription — and, in the past, were actually drafted. The government compels people to feed their children, the government compels people to obey all sorts of laws that were never laws before.

Saying that a woman does not and should not have the right to kill another human being, because it is temporarily inconvenient for her, is perfectly reasonable. She may, after delivery, surrender her child up for adoption, no questions asked.

Murder is the deliberate, non-self-defense killing of another living human being. The only way that abortion differs, legally, is because we have defined unborn children as non-persons.

But, don’t worry: defining some people as not being actual persons is an old, old tradition. Africans before 1865, Jews under the Third Reich, the Kulaks in Russia, the Hutu by the Tutsi, you name it, an old and honorable tradition.
