#IStandWithDana Gun-Control Freaks Try to Bounce @DLoesch from ‘The View’

Demonizing and marginalizing dissent is what liberals do routinely. They pick an issue — from atomic energy to abortion, from global warming to gay marriage — and declare that people who disagree with them are dangerous ignorant extremists.

So now a gun-control group called Moms Demand Action is trying to give Dana Loesch the “extremist” treatment. Dana has volunteered to go into the lion’s den — appearing as the sole pro-Second Amendment voice on ABC’s The View — and these liberals evidently consider it intolerable that anyone in favor of the right to keep and bear arms should appear on a major broadcast network program.

Panic reaction at Media Matters: “The decision to give Loesch a national platform on a highly-rated television show is troubling . . .”

Translation: “OMG! An outspoken conservative woman on national TV! This cannot be permitted! No dissent allowed!”

This reaction exposes the truth about liberal media bias. If they were interested in a debate, and if Dana Loesch were really so ignorant as they claim, having her on national TV would be a good idea for them, because the ignorant Dana would be easily defeated. But instead, because liberal arguments cannot withstand scrutiny — because Dana is a well-informed and articulate proponent of Second Amendment rights — they can only “win” by silencing her.

Controlling access to the “national platform,” so only liberal voices can be heard in the “mainstream,” is the name of the game for the crypto-totalitarian propagandists of the Left.

    One rule of thumb is that all things being equal (which they usually aren’t) the side working to control who gets to speak is the one you should worry about.

    “Thou shalt not dissent” should a red flag with a siren.

    What they fear is Dana Loesch will come off as a sane intelligent woman (which of course she is)…who supports the Second Amendment. They can’t let that happen. They want to keep her off the show or make it such a train wreck that it gets blamed on Dana.

    It doesn’t matter who they have on. We’ll hear the same from the liberals. “30 caliber magazine clips” or “Magazines that can fire 100 bullets a second” or my personal favorite “these bullets were designed to kill”. Liberals are a clear and present danger to our freedoms, but, damn, it is amusing to hear them spout their angry ignorant diatribes.

    “Moms Demand Action” is an astroturf operation spun up soon after Sandy Hook to push the communist, er, liberal gun grabbing agenda.

    They specialize in stirring the pot for publicity. Their recent attempts to “influence” (i.e., bully) a certain nationwide store to adopt a “gun free zone” policy were a rather spectacular failure. Imagine that.

    So this sort of screeching is of no surprise. I wouldn’t be surprised to find that Dana was put on “The View” to give Moms Demand Action a chance to “succeed”, and build up their street cred.

    They ought to be worried. Dana Loesch will kick their pompous asses. She’s smart, direct, her radio experience makes her get right to the salient points, and presents a very likable image as well. And, as Biden once praised Obama, she’s clean and articulate, too.

    It’s a whole ‘nother thang from ganging up on Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is more of the typical show host who happens to be conservative. Loesch is an advocate and a good, sharp one.

    The rest of the cast of The View hasn’t been sharp in decades – if they ever were.

    Aren’t they the same group that put up pictures of their “protest” of some store – maybe a Chik-Fil-A? – that was cropped to look like a crowd but some passerby had the wide shot showing there were perhaps nine people altogether?

    No win situation. You will have 3 or 4 screeching hyenas interrupting every point Dana makes. If that’s not enough, the producers of “The View” will probably have several surprises designed to make Loesch, and pro 2nd amendment supporters look bad. I’m sure they will dig up a survivor of a shooting tragedy( real or imagined), and make Dana bear the brunt of that. Of course, the audience will not be told the “survivor” is actually an anti-gun activist. Another Cindy Sheehan moment, if you will. This reminds me of the ridiculous debates that republicans subject themselves to during presidential elections. There’s a reason why Rush Limbaugh doesn’t pull himself into debates with the loopy left. Bad idea, Dana.

    Why give some gun nut whose going to spew NRA talking points the ability to influence a national audience? The View is obviously a liberal show, so the argument at least for liberals, is over. Same with abortion or gay rights. It serves no purpose to keep debating these issues with conservatives. Let Loesch go on Fox or something.

    No, more like she’ll attempt to make an insane argument like “if more people we’re armed we’d have less mass murder” or “gun free zones are responsible for mass shootings”, sound rational. The NRA wants unfettered access to guns because they fantasize about a time when they’ll be in open revolt against the government. Everything else they say is complete BS.

    Considering I have NEVER heard an insight from any of the prog members of the View more sophisticated than any I had previously heard from a 300-lb diabetic EBT card user at the checkout in WalMart, I’m not surprised they’re worried about Dana talking back to them. They are not smart people. They are smug, arrogant and as provincial as they think a West Virginia coal town to be.

    You can have second amendment rights without unfettered access to certain kinds of weapons. It’s just common sense policy, especially when we’ve experienced a rash of mass murders over the last 2 or 3 years. I do appreciate amendment one, but if your agenda is gun control why for the sake of appearing non-biased, would you give your opposition a platform?

    My mistake, that’s Gun Owners of America who openly talk about a coming revolution and why they oppose gun control of any kind. But you know what? It’s all the same bag of bones and Im sure there’s some overlap between the two. And hopefully when Loesch goes on the view someone will tell her she needs medication.

    Because “The View” claims to be non-biased, a word you might look up the definition of. For example, you are clearly biased, even if you do claim to have sympathies for the Second Amendment.

    PS: “Common sense” is no longer common.

    You miss the point. The View made the call to have her on the show, presumably, because they knew that the inevitable online shit storm will increase their ratings. If you don’t want to hear Dana’s “views”, call the producers of the show and complain…or simply watch something else.

    To your point about mass murders: Since almost all of them were carried out by Democrats, would you favor a “common sense policy” that would ban “progressives” from owning guns?

    It doesn’t matter why we need guns. The Constitution says “the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” See? No reason required. When society collapses from our fiscally insane spending, it will be fun watching you defend your family with rocks and sticks. Cowering…oops…I mean “sheltering in place” waiting for first responders that will never come, because they’ll be protecting their own families and property with guns.

    Hey, troll, if more people were armed, the chances of a shooter intent on mass murder encountering someone who can shoot back go up considerably. That’s called ‘raising the price’ of evil and makes such crimes much more rare.

    Second, while the CRIMINAL is always responsible for mass shootings, ‘gun-free zones’ advertise a space where it is safe to carry out the crime because no one can legally carry a gun to return fire. So, yeah, gun free zones DO make mass shootings easier for the criminal and therefore more likely.

    Loesch just signed a big syndication deal, so it’s too early to say what her ratings average will be. The View averages around 3 million total per show.

    Scientists could use her appearance to measure the effects of exposure to truth upon brain-dead Democratic voters. Could be a shocker. Remember, these people still think Obama is smart.

    The producers of the view might have done well to watch “Rocky” when they were thinking about hiring Dana. Remember the scene where Apollo Creed is congratulating himself in front of his entourage for picking such an easy fight, but his trainer is sitting in the corner worriedly watching a news piece of Balboa pulverizing frozen cattle carcasses with his fists….?

    The founders, in the Federalists Papers, were VERY CLEAR that we are to have weapons equal to the military. Now I may draw the line at Nukes or Tanks but for small arms the Government doesn’t have the RIGHT to tell us what we may have.
