‘This Is a Tragedy in the Family’: @Belle_Knox’s Horrible Disgrace

Posted on | March 11, 2014 | 127 Comments

Army physician Dr. Kevin Weeks returns home from deployment in Afghanistan to learn that his youngest daughter Miriam has become notorious as the Duke University porn star “Belle Knox”:

Amanda Minor, the mother-in-law of Miriam’s brother Paul, told MailOnline: ‘This is a tragedy in the family. The father is one of the best human beings I’ve ever met. He is just back from Afghanistan; he served his country, how awesome is that?
‘He’s so proud of his daughter; there’s no way they could have known this was going on. It’s terrible. . . . This is a nightmare what the family are going through.’ . . .

You can read the whole embarrassing thing.

Remember that this is what the freshman Women’s Studies major calls “empowerment.” Miriam Weeks probably feels extra empowered now that both the New York Post and NewsMax are also on the story.

The guy who ran the ***cough, cough****
modeling agency which employed Miriam quoted in the “Daily Mail” article sounds like a real prince/sarc. “I run a legitimate business” says “Steve”. “I get a 20% cut.”
If he hadn’t helped out Miriam she wouldn’t have been able to attend school. Such a selfless man.

I don’t think of people going to hell with any satisfaction or glee, but people who prey on young woman through the sex trade are just scum. I guess this man doesn’t care who they’re abused or sink into drug abuse as long as they’re 18 and he doesn’t care how much women are degraded as long as he gets his cut.

Even by porn standards this chick is not that hot. Would I nail her after a night’s worth of boozing? Yeah, but admittedly that’s not a very high bar.

You just told my story, RSM. I can still cringe when I think of what my parents went through having to witness my selfish behavior. Praise God, He saw fit to save me from myself.

One of the problems with Miriam’s story is that there are so many versions of why she started doing porn. She has told several different versions and they are largely mutually exclusive. Which, if any, of these stories is the real one?

Can we believe anything this woman says?

Several porn “stars” from the “golden age of porn” committed suicide back in the 80s. They got themselves, but had no way out and the hopelessness of it finally drug them down to the pit.

The best way to interact with her is tell her, straight up, that there will be no more checks to attend Duke. She can come home and get herself straight, or she can go her own way. Refusing to subsidize her self destruction is one of the most responsible things they could do.

You can keep hoping but we’re never going to be extinct.

There are always going to be those of us who will stand up for our country and where we believe our country’s moral compass should be pointing.

I, for one, do not care what two or three or more people do in their own bedroom’s. I do believe that those engage in any sex trade for the sake of money and other people’s entertainment are at the very least morally corrupt. I also believe that anyone who claims this behavior to be empowering or enlightening are only attempting to convince themselves and others of this as a means of justifying behavior that a majority of their friends, family members and Americans in general find to be unacceptable.

If that makes me a “prig” in the eyes of those who think like you then I’ve no problem being a “prig” or anything else you want to call me and those like me.

Celebrity within a certain endeavor does not make one a star.

That is just one of the self appointed titles that people use to justify small timers with little to look forward to in life.

The Kardashians, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Honey Boo-Boo, Miriam Weeks….you get the picture.

My guess is that after starting watching porno as an 11 year-old, she probably became sexually active at a very young age followed by becoming a slut by the time she was in high school.
As she grew older and “wiser” she then decided that if she was going to be a whore she might as well become a professional one.
I doubt she’ll ever graduate and earn a degree from anywhere.
But hey, she’s already established a career path that she apparently enjoys so she’s got that going for herself.

Yes, actually, I am comparing Miss Dunham’s nude scenes (plural) to being a stripper. And I’d say that strippers have a better grip on reality; Miss Dunham thinks that she’s doing it for art, while strippers know that they’re just doing it for cash and for coke.

For those of you who are claiming that she was abused and seeking “love” by getting her groove on by film need to realize that the old feminist meme of who gets into porn is outdated by 20 yrs at least. Modern 21st century has so revolutionized the porn industry that now the modern path appears to sort of go sexting -camming – pro/am porn to pro porn. With the idea that in this era of Lena Durham’s Feminism it is counter culture and empowering to do porn and be a cute attractive naughty for a girl is to say, “Yea I fracked on film, what of it” as if that makes her different attitude wise. There was an article in NRO recently that talked of how big business porn is and how people the author thought could have been the soccer mom’s at his kids sporting events were doing porn. Primarily because it brings in big bucks and if you run a cam site or join a cam site or work for a pro/am studio some of these mom’s could bring home in a month equal pay to what they may have walked away from in the professional careers. They change their names and the bilingual ones will even change their home of residency on the sites to keep from being “outed” tp the PTAs or HOAs. Some stay and some go and as that book I link to describes the escort business some women walk away but the allure of the big money brings them right back.

The Hollywood (San Fernando valley, really) cocaine obsession didn’t help.

I remember reading an article way back then about how many of these “starlets” had to get all coked up in order to let some stranger bone them on a brightly lit set surrounded by cameramen, mic holders, the makeup lady, and fluffers.

Agree. But, the nudity is a sharp stick in the eye to all producers and directors who believe success lies in naked women in front of the camera. By staying undressed, and far from the Hollywood version of beauty, Dunham attacks Hollywood.
That said, point made, and Hollywood won’t change its ways until its bank account is attacked. Seeing Harvey “Ole T*ts & Blood” Weinstein begging for Other People’s Money is a good start.

    She maybe used-up before twenty-five.

First, she has no breasts or any stand-out features. A rather boring body – very ‘ho-hum’ [emphasis on ‘ho’].

Second, her specialty is Barely Legal movies, so the moment she no longer looks like she’s under age, it’s over.

There is the matter of Free Will. Just like the young man featured with a couple of posts here on TOM – the high school senior who was facing trouble in school for having gay sex in porn films – there are choices to be made. For every choice there is a consequence: good ones are called rewards, and bad ones are called “Bush’s-Fault.”
Just kidding about Bush’s-Fault. The young man sees the reward of money and his mom’s approval, but how will that help him when the doc says he has a life-destroying STD? AIDS? Can’t find work because the internet remembers everyone? So too Ms. Weeks sees rewards, and the consequences right now (family scandalized, whispers at school) as manageable. But the porn industry eats its young: disease, pregnancy/abortion cycles, plastic surgery to accentuate this, that, and repair the others; and when she becomes a wife and/or mom? Like that young man, Ms. Weeks chose poorly. And, she will have to suffer the consequences, good and bad, for as long as there is an internet. All her talk of empowerment is the prattle of a foolish woman who doesn’t understand that the party line is designed to getting otherwise unwilling women into the beds of predatory Democrats.

    . . .when she becomes a wife and/or mom?

I would think it’s more like if she becomes a wife and/or mother. It’s one thing to know one’s spouse has had a former lover. It’s another to have her displayed in the most lurid fashion for anyone with an internet connection. Who, in his right mind, would want to deal with that, much less the emotional damage such a history would undoubtedly cause?

And she wouldn’t be known as a dirty little whore to her parents friends.
And her brother wouldn’t have the embarrassment of having his friends making all those cheap comments about his sister.
A her sister wouldn’t have to endure the nasty little propositions that she’s probably getting these days.
And the list goes on & on.

Yeah, this gal’s already driven off the cliff, she just hasn’t slammed into the bottom of the canyon yet.

    March 11th, 2014 @ 9:41 pm

Good point. She’ll find some kind of a “mate”, but a man of quality and character? I don’t think so. What she’ll end up with is the kind of guy who “gets off” on having a wife that performs sexually on camera. In other words, a man with the same broken moral compass that she has.

    March 11th, 2014 @ 9:56 pm

So it’s those nasty right-wingers and their outmoded ideas like personal responsibility that forced poor little Ms. Weeks kicking and screaming into the world of porn. I guess a full ride (pun intended) to Vanderbilt just wasn’t good enough for our intrepid young student. She just had to go to Duke and porn was the only way that she could afford that. You can’t possibly believe your own bulls**t, can you?
