Kagan went on to say that other U.S. businesses are “voluntarily” dropping their health insurance coverage for employees.
“You know Hobby Lobby is paying something right now for the — for the coverage,” Kagan said. “It’s less than what Hobby Lobby is paying for the coverage. There are employers all over the United States that are doing this voluntarily.”
Chief Justice Roberts interjected that this was in opposition to what Hobby Lobby presented in its lawsuit.
“I thought — I thought that part of the religious commitment of the owners was to provide health care for its employees,” Roberts said and Clements agreed.
“Well, if they want to do that, they can just pay a greater salary and let the employees go in on the exchange,” Sotomayor said.

Listen Sotomayor and Kagan, you brace of bimbos: you can slap a “Constitutional” label on the homesick abortion that is ObamaCare, but you can’t stop it from making you look like clueless idiots. How Hobby Lobby does its accounting is irrelevant to the truth that the law you found Constitutional is a steaming crock.

Maybe you think that you can wear down the resolve of the American people.

Train them to dig life on your Progressive Plantation. But will “elections have consequences” in November? Over time, are we allowed to repent of the abject foolishness that has allowed DC to accrue too much power over every aspect of life?

Or are you just going to ignore what happens, should the GOP retake Congress? Are we going to see more attacks on the Koch brothers and the Tea Parties, as our the Godless Commies who are our purported betters undertake “shaping operations” in order to train us to love Progress?

And do read the ObamaCare blog comment of the day. This thing is a virulent cancer. The GOP had better not harbor hope of making peace with it.

Related, via Hot Air Quotes of the Day:

One religious group could opt out of this and one religious group could opt out of that, and everything would be piecemeal and nothing would be uniform,” Kagan warned. “Religious objectors would come out of the woodwork.”

In other words, kind of like the Amish, or Congress:

Along with eschewing cars and many other modern technologies, the descendants of 18th-Century German immigrants who practice the Amish and Old Order Mennonite religions, have effectively opted out of Obamacare, along with most federal safety net programs.
A little-known provision of the law with its roots in a 1950s battle over Social Security exempts these communities from the individual mandate, an element of the Affordable Care Act that requires most Americans to purchase health insurance in some form.

I guess Kagan’s point is to warn that our Balkanized system could get kinda fragmented, or something. WHY ARE WE PAYING THIS IDIOT?

Why are we paying her? Because the American people were so fornicating stupid that they elected Barack Hussein Obama to be our President, and he nominated her to the Supreme Court.

Hey Smitty, don’t mess with three women’s “free” contraception. As if that alone justifies the billions wasted on this friggin experiment of mendacity.

It is easy to simply blame the American people. Better look yourselves in the mirror.

It amuses me that you find them (physically) attractive. LOL

So Kagan, an impartial judge, is advising corporate American on how to manage their budgets? It’s almost as if she were appointed by an executive in chief who didn’t have any executive experience.

    Oh, wait…

“Nothing would be uniform.” So much for diversity, eh? Yet another example of irony proof Progressivism.

He didn’t vote for Zer0, but there were enough low info voters, like yourself, that did. It would be better if you didn’t look in the mirror when you are trying to talk about others. You just get confused.

Yeah, because Mitt Romney, and the right wing rabble(neo-cons, and anti-science Christian fundies)he would have dragged into the government with him were the better alternative! Sure they were!

  10. Anamika

But Smitty used a derogatory term that means both “pretty and dumb.”

There are a lot of gender neutral terms that mean “dumb.” Maybe he was looking for a gendered insult and his inner sexist quickly zeroed in on “bimbo” forgetting the fact that neither of them look remotely attractive (or blonde.)

“Dumb bitches” would have worked better for his purpose.

Your labels are kinda silly, but yes, obviously they would have been better. Not necessarily good, but definitely better.

“Dumb bitches” doesn’t have the alliteration that Smitty so likes.

Actually, the vast majority of modern science traces to Christendom.

Newton, who contributed the greatest mathematical breakthrough in history, was also a Christian theologian.

And so, we see the result of FDR’s threat to pack the court: SCOTUS has completely succumbed to the succubus which is making and implementing policy, instead of interpreting laws based solely upon the Constitution. The Federal Judiciary is the greatest threat to our liberty, inasmuch as it is an unelected, lifetime-tenured group of self-proclaimed philosopher kings, determined to do things it was never intended to do.

Another low-information Democrat — please pardon the redundancy — who didn’t realize that President Obama was in his first term when he appointed Justice Kagan, and thus the comparison would have been with John McCain, not Mitt Romney.

But, yes, either Mr McCain or Mr Romney would have been better than Barack Obama as President; he’s the worst president in my lifetime, and my lifetime includes Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter!

  17. Quartermaster
    March 26th, 2014 @ 11:27 am

Heh! Leftists are the most anti-science rabble in existence, and you have the gall to refer to your betters as anti-science.

Perhaps he should have made a list of characterizations meaning dumb, he certainly should have included dingbat. Bimbo doesn’t necessarily mean attractive or blond for that matter.

    From Merriam-Webster:

1 slang : man, woman —used as a generalized term of disapproval especially for an attractive but vacuous person
All in all not one of your better efforts

Yeah, the overwhelming consensus among the scientific community is that man made global warming is quite real, but because Rush Limbaugh, and a few people employed by big oil say otherwise it’s a scam. Or uh, throwing off Darwin because of your primitive belief systems that existed because of the absence of science. You;re rabble, and no longer needed. Do what old lions are supposed to do, and leave the pride and go die already.

  23. DumbAssCons
    March 26th, 2014 @ 1:41 pm

No, he just made the blanket statement that Romney was better for the country than Obama, and he was clearly worse, hence why he lost. The worst President of all time was George W. Bush. That is objective fact! From 9/11 to the meltdown of the world economy, and let’s not forget the Iraq War, no gang of misfits has ever screwed up so badly when in authority. That;s why Romney had no chance of winning. The country has simpley not forgotten the abysmal Bush legacy. Your main issue with Obama is that he’s not one of you, and doesnt handle our foreign policy like we’re making a western.

  24. scarymatt
    March 26th, 2014 @ 1:43 pm

Uh…the “overwhelming consensus” isn’t what you think it is. I think the people who reject evolution are being silly, but at least they aren’t being actively destructive like the AGW crazies are.

  25. Quartermaster
    March 26th, 2014 @ 1:44 pm

Ah the knee jerk legend (in his own mind) returns.
The consensus business is simply a lie y’all tell yourselves to feel good since those nasty people that really understand and do science laugh at you.
Darwin is philosophy, not science. If you had any science background at all, you’d know and understand that.

  26. Quartermaster
    March 26th, 2014 @ 1:45 pm

As I have pointed out here before, there are two forms of evolution. There’s Darwin, which is nothing but philosophical meandering, and the real deal which we have used to produce different breeds of cattle and Dogs.
Darwin is simply philosophical idiocy and does not meet the definition of science in any way.

When Dubya was elected twice, not just the Dems but the whole world wondered what the hell was wrong with American people.

See, you can’t have it both ways. You just sound like a sore loser when you blame American people for not winning because of your own (i.e. GOP, Conservative leadership, Tea Party etc) defects:

  28. Quartermaster
    March 26th, 2014 @ 1:47 pm

Domestically I doubt Romney would have been any better than Zer0. In the area of foreign policy I don’t think there’s any doubt Mittens would have been head and shoulders above Zer0. Zer0 doesn’t handle foreign policy. He is simply weak and clueless. The people he ahs appointed are just like him. Idiots all.

As bad as Bush was, he’s head and shoulders above Zer0. But, that’s a pretty low bar.

  29. scarymatt
    March 26th, 2014 @ 1:53 pm

Yeah, when Bush was elected twice, everyone thought we were nuts, and then we elected Obama to prove it. We had Progressive-lite in the former and now we have the real deal in the latter.

You’re confused if you think there’s GWB worship going on around here, and lame assed tu quoque defenses of Obama are lame.

Esther W writes: “Newton, who contributed the greatest mathematical breakthrough in history,..”

Newton’s greatest discovery was in physics (Universal Law of Gravity), not math.

In math, he contributed to calculus, but that doesn’t find place in top 10 discoveries/achievements in the history of math. The greatest invention in math, if there has to be one, it arguably would be the invention of Zero, by the pagan Hindus.

This is what Kagan and Sotomayor were hired to do. Kagan ran the Harvard Law School, which produced the Earth’s Greatest Constitutional Scholar: Das SCOAMF. So she’s got the legal knowledge of grape-nut. Then there’s Sotomayor, during whose confirmation the SCOTUS and other courts unanimously rejected her legal decisions and opinions. Obama could have picked some random wino passed out in Lafayete park and the level of legal scholarship would have been of better quality than Sotomayor has ever produced. This also settles the question on Kagan’s ethics. She championed Obamacare, so she has emotional and intellectual investment in maintaining it as it is.

Did Romney lose, or did the IRS and other agencies suppress the vote? Obama will forever have an asterisk next to his name: would not have won without heavy voter suppression, voter ID fraud, and untraceable financial contributions in the hundreds of millions. Your argument on the worthiness of Romney is forever invalid.

Nowhere in any of those urban slang definitions, it mentions that “dingbat” is used exclusively for women. (Only one at the bottom says it’s used “more often” for women). You are quoting just one example of an usage to justify your ignorance. That’s so lame. Look at the definition for “Bimbo” for ex. from the same urban slang site:

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bimbo

“All” of the definitions mention that it is used (exclusively) for a woman.

Dingbat just means “A stupid or crazy PERSON” (Merriam-Webster) / “A stupid or eccentric PERSON” (Oxford
    dictionary
    )

If it is any consolation for you, I understand why you might be mistaken, people more often tend to use it to call a woman stupid, but that doesn’t mean it can’t/isn’t used for men, like you.
