Sir Dana @Milbank, White Knight

Posted on | April 1, 2014 | 51 Comments

Being a liberal means you have license to speak for the oppressed, as the enlightened and beneficent custodian of their interests. White male Dana Milbank goes “mansplaining” a Women’s History Month Event because ladies don’t understand this stuff:

The conservative minds of the Heritage Foundation have found a way for Republicans to shrink the gender gap: They need to persuade more women to get their MRS degrees.
The advocacy group held a gathering of women of the right Monday afternoon to mark the final day of Women’s History Month — and the consensus was that women ought to go back in history. If Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg’s mantra is “lean in,” these women were proposing that women lean back: get married, take care of kids and let men earn the wages.

See? Mona Charen, Mollie Hemingway and Karin Agness shouldn’t worry their pretty little heads. They should just outsource their thinking to the gallant Sir Dana Milbank, and let him speak on their behalf. He’s got an Honorary Vagina, you know.

And hey, it’s not like there are any facts involved:

An unmarried woman with children is much more likely to be poor than her married counterpart. According to the National Poverty Center, “Poverty rates are highest for families headed by single women, particularly if they are black or Hispanic. In 2010, 31.6 percent of households headed by single women were poor, while 15.8 percent of households headed by single men and 6.2 percent of married-couple households lived in poverty.” Those aren’t numbers made up to scare women into voting Republican; they’re facts.
According to a 2013 Gallup poll, a whopping 56 percent of 18 to 34 years olds are unmarried men and women who want to get married. In contrast, only 9 percent are unmarried and not interested in getting married. . . . The desire to be married isn’t something conservative scam artists made up; it’s something that most young adults want.
Nor is it only conservatives who are pushing for women with kids to work part-time or not at all. In 2012, a whopping 67 percent of mothers of minor children surveyed by the Pew Research Center wanted to either work part-time or not work. That’s what women say they want, not what conservatives say women want.

That’s from Katrina Trinko, who is merely a woman, and not a feminist like Sir Dana Milbank, Knight of the Honorary Vagina.

All men ( well I spose most) are genocidal maniacs. Every time one has an involuntary nocturnal (or in the daytime) emission one is committing genocide. Billions of sperm; potential human beings, expire on the bedsheets or wherever.

Well I reckon all women have the potential to put a stop to this genocide.

All they have to do is put themselves in the way.

Please note that the Dana who comments here is not Sir Dana of Milbank.

Our friends on the left have taken the accumulated wisdom of all of human history, wisdom which set up marriage in every society known to us previously, and decided that it’s just old fashioned, uncool and irrelevant.

    ??

Jewish law clearly prohibits male masturbation. This law is derived from the story of Onan (Gen. 38:8-10), who practiced coitus interruptus as a means of birth control to avoid fathering a child for his deceased brother. G-d killed Onan for this sin. Although Onan’s act
was not truly masturbation, Jewish law takes a very broad view of the acts
prohibited by this passage, and forbids any act of ha-sh’cha’tat zerah (destruction of the seed), that is, ejaculation outside of the vagina. In fact,
the prohibition is so strict that one passage in the Talmud states, “in the case of a man, the hand that reaches below the navel should be chopped off.” (Niddah 13a)

We truly don’t know this guy’s heart, as black as it may seem to us. The Lord does though. Mere contemplation of scripture, however misguided, is an auspicious start. Road to Damacus moments are well-documented. God works that way sometimes, and it’s something we can all discuss with Him in our next prayers.

Genocide for sure! But the one whereby so many men have their hands
removed for too much below-the-navel activity that the society cannot
function: the men can’t do much with one or zero hands, they die and the
    society grinds to a halt.

It’s very important to liberals that they belittle women who choose to be married and be mothers. The over the top bullshit from liberals is that accumulating wealth is bad but women should abandon the idea of raising children to engage in materialistic pursuits. A friend who works in a school said, ‘forty years ago we didn’t have kids coming to school and shooting their classmates. What changed?’ Well, more children are growing up in single parent homes and we started giving them mood altering drugs so they’d be manageable. These are just inconvenient facts for the liberal intelligentsia. Inconvenient, like a mother and father noticing something going on with their daughter and finding a rat named Kate Hunt. And look who the left chose to champion.

Oh please. The Republican Party dreams of turning this country into Saudi Arabia, where women are chattel and aren’t even allowed to drive. Instead of smearing an excellent writer, you should be talking about Republican criminals that destroy the lives of women, children, minorities, and gays in order to enrich Big Oil, Halliburton, and the Koch Brothers. It is no secret the criminal Koch Brothers are funding the smear campaign against the black President’s signature initiative in order to dissuade women from signing up in order to have access to healthcare. It is astounding that The right wing jumps to aim hate at a writer while ignoring Republican hate for millions of women.

  45. JohnnyL53
    April 2nd, 2014 @ 9:36 am

The problem with the numbers is that as soon as the left smartens up about this they will use them to justify additional re-distributive programs and taxes in order to “equalize” the single parents and married parents so as to reduce the advantages a couple has over a single parent. More subsidizing of poor lifestyle choices is just a short way down the road.
