Hollywood Director’s Son Kills Six in Shooting Rampage Against ‘Sluts’

Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown revealed new details about Friday night’s drive by shootings in Isla Vista during a Saturday morning news conference, including a new death toll and a possible link to an ominous YouTube video.
Brown said the initial call came in to dispatch at 9:27 p.m. Friday night as multiple gunshots.
Deputies in the area found several victims and received information about the suspect and vehicle involved.
Witnesses described seeing a black BMW speeding through the streets, spraying bullets at people and various targets near El Embarcadero and Segovia Roads and the top of the loop along Del Playa.
Brown said at 9:33 p.m. the suspect exchanged gunfire with deputies then veered down Del Playa and crashed into a parked car. Deputies found the suspect inside the BMW dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Brown said he did not know if the suspect was shot and killed by deputies or if the wound was self-inflicted.

Investigators believe a 22-year-old named Elliot Rodger driving a black BMW acted alone in the shootings around 9:30pm Friday night in Isla Vista near the University of California, Santa Barbara. . . .
Rodger is thought to be the son of Peter Rodger, assistant director of the Hollywood film franchise The Hunger Games.
Authorities are examining a video posted on social media by the shooter in which he rants about women who supposedly rejected his advances.
The video is called Elliot Rodger’s Retribution.
Rodger, a Santa Barbara City College Student and Isla Vista resident, according to his social media accounts unleashed a tirade about his ‘loneliness, rejection, and unfulfilled desires,’ and blames women for preferring ‘obnoxious brutes’ to him, ‘the supreme gentlemen.’ . . .
‘I’m 22 years old and I’m still a virgin. I’ve never even kissed a girl,’ he says in the video.
‘College is the time when everyone experiences those things such as sex and fun and pleasure. But in those years I’ve had to rot in loneliness. It’s not fair. You girls have never been attracted to me. I don’t know why you girls aren’t attracted to me. But I will punish you all for it,’ he says in the video, which runs to almost seven minutes.
He repeatedly promises to ‘punish’ women and lays out his plan for ‘retribution.’
‘I’m going to enter the hottest sorority house of UCSB and I will slaughter every single spoilt, stuck-up, blonde [slut] that I see inside there. All those girls that I’ve desired so much, they would’ve all rejected me and looked down on me as an inferior man if I ever made a sexual advance towards them,’ he says.
‘I’ll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you. You will finally see that I am, in truth, the superior one. The true alpha male,’ he laughs like a maniacal movie villain. ‘Yes… After I have annihilated every single girl in the sorority house I will take to the streets of Isla Vista and slay every single person I see there. All those popular kids who live such lives of hedonistic pleasure…’

This attitude is a typical “Nice Guy” rationalization by which losers project onto others the responsibility for their own failures, so that successful men are scapegoated as “obnoxious brutes” and women who reject the Nice Guy are condemned as “sluts.”

At the root of the “Nice Guy” rationalization is a narcissistic blindness to his own shortcomings and a sense of entitlement to female companionship. He cannot admit (especially to himself) that his own resentments are actually motivated by envy, nor that his rage against women is a type of “sour grapes” rationalization: Frustrated desire expressed as rejection of those who reject him.

There isn’t really a political aspect to this kind of maladjustment although, as with every mass shooting, the Left is trying to play “pin the tail on the right wing,” and conservatives are pushing back:

Or this is a case of Asperger’s syndrome per the Wapo article I tweeted. Our host is usually given to let’s wait until we have more information so I’m a bit surprised at the NPD diagnosis. Mass murders and serial killers have very different psych profiles. The Ted Bundy types get along with people and can blend into a social setting. He was also a narcissist. This guy apparently a virgin at twenty-two appears to be a loner and socially awkward. We’ll have more about the guy soon but in any case our mental health system is almost non existent.

I haven’t seen anything about the shooter’s father’s politics, and don’t want to jump to conclusions. Meanwhile, I wonder how soon we’re going to see follow-up profiles of the shooter with quotes from classmates, etc.: Were there “warning signs”? Did the shooter have a history of substance abuse or psychiatric problems? Did his parents go through a nasty divorce with custody battles, etc.?

Here’s a telltale clue in plain sight: The shooter was obviously an academic underachiever. His parents were affluent enough that he could drive a BMW and yet, while he obviously could have afforded to attend an elite school, he didn’t have the grades or test scores, so he attended community college. I’m going to guess he had been diagnosed with ADD or some other learning disability, and perhaps had been prescribed Ritalin or Adderall.

As the shooter’s background becomes a subject of journalistic scrutiny, I guarantee it will be interesting, although exactly what we learn, I can’t predict completely.

As a fairly non-social chick with decidedly non-feminine interests, I can relate to the “why don’t they like me?” thoughts. I hear guys go on and on about how they’d love to have a girl who likes to shoot guns and play video games and play sports, but then I see their girlfriends and they are the stereotypical “what button do I push?” girly-girls.

I’m not whining about my lack of dates (to be honest, I hate even the idea of dating and there is really only one person I want to pay attention to me, anyway). Just explaining how I know that feeling. Granted, I’ve taken it in a completely different direction and instead really worked on improving myself over the past couple of years (there are few people who really know my situation and it’s not something I’m going to lay out on the internet, but suffice it to say it is way more messed up and complicated than this kid could ever have dreamed). I’m setting goals for myself and doing things to put myself in a position to do other things I really want to do. It has been a long, difficult, and at times overwhelming road and I still don’t really see a light at the end of the tunnel. But I keep plugging away because I can’t blame the people around me for my problems. And because I know God has something better in store, I just haven’t reached it yet.

Without faith, I wouldn’t have made it these past couple of years. To some that is a declaration of weakness. I don’t see it that way. It took a lot for me to humble myself to the point where I realized I had to ask for help. This kid needed help, and I’m going to bet he grew up in a household where religion was a bad word or, at the very least, ignored. One thing about Christianity (I can’t speak for other faiths) is the idea that when you feel like you are nothing and nobody else cares, if you can ask God for help with real intent, He’ll help. And in the process remind you that there is somebody who loves you more than you can possibly understand. This kid needed to ask for help and probably didn’t know how.

Anyway, that’s just my opinion on the matter. Like I said, I don’t condone his actions, but I very much understand how he got to that point by not having a way to deal with his loneliness and feelings of, essentially, not belonging.

White males have been responsible for more death, darkness, despair, and destruction than any other group in history: from the Inquisition, to the Crusades, to the witch trials, to the slave trade, to WW1, to WW2, to Vietnam and Iraq and Afghanistan, to Hitler and Stalin and all kinds of genocides, to 99% of serial killers and mass murderers, to the atomic bomb, to the Great Depression and Great Recession, to political policy which exacerbate the poverty and hopelessless that allows crime to flourish. They have the fingerprints white guys all over.

Where there is poverty and hopelessless there will be crime. Conservative whites do everything possible to exacerbate economic inequality and poverty, then concern troll about the crime that is the inevitable result of their institutionalized greed and selfishness. Statistics can reflect a biased criminal justice system all you want: but they can’t erase the entirety of world history in white white men have caused more death and destruction than any group.

What is the ‘net deaths’ caused by ‘white men’ if you add back things like medicine and advanced agriculture to the plus column?

Interesting statistic about the Atomic Bomb, post WWII has seen the lowest rate of deaths from war as a percentage of global population for the last few hundred years AND actually would translate – if warfare kept to the trend lines – to the ‘Atomic Age’ saving hundreds of millions of lives, thanks White Man!
