Obama Fails Again: Are We Surprised?

“Obama: Anatomy of a World Leader,” by Alex Gray (detail)

The escalating mess at Murietta and the general bankruptcy of President Obama’s “immigration policy” — the scare-quotes necessitated by its haphazard and improvised nature, so that it isn’t actually a policy at all — isn’t something I’ve said a lot about, because the disaster is so obvious that everyone sees it without me feeling any need to point it out. Whatever there may be left to say about this catastrophic situation, Adriana Cohen says it pretty well:

The massive crisis of tens of thousands of illegal children and hundreds of thousands of illegal adults flooding over our borders is, no surprise, not President Obama’s fault. It may have been entirely preventable, and certainly was highly predictable. But as usual, six years after he took office, the blame belongs elsewhere.
It’s the Republicans, blocking immigration reform, the Obama administration wants you to believe. They’re even trying to hang it on Obama’s favorite blame target, George W. Bush . . .
The crisis is in fact wholly owned by the Democrats.
Democrats . . . have been pushing for years to let people without Social Security numbers have driver’s licenses and welfare benefits. They’ve pushed for in-state university tuition for people who don’t belong here. Obama himself acted to dramatically reduce deportations — specifically of children — and has broadly signaled he wants to legalize the estimated 12 million illegals.
Who can blame the hundreds of thousands flooding across our borders for thinking they are welcome? The Democrats told them so. Never mind that 92 million Americans are unemployed or no longer looking for jobs. . . .

Read the whole thing.

As far as the Tutsis are concerned, the illegal aliens are useful cannon fodder to use against us Hutus. The only ‘disaster’ they see is bad optics as it might cause weakly aligned Tutsi clients to switch sides. You need to remember that for the Regime, what lies abroad is not properly alien and certainly not an enemy. The enemy is non-exotic Americans of the working class and the common-and-garden bourgeois.

Obama would get an “A” in Failure!

I wonder what grades he got in undergraduate school…or what courses he even took? Hmmm.

    President 0bama Jarrett fails again.

Still waiting for a Valerie Jarrett documentary akin to the “Bush’s Brain” / Karl Rove sensationalism from the past decade. Who will be willing to do a documentary on the ridiculous rodentine ruler of the White House ?

    Possible titles:

    0bama’s Olympic marmot ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmota_olympus)

    The Capitol Capybara ?

0bama’s Opossum ( meh -1 for bad alliteration and opossum aren’t rodents)

How about previously unreleased pictures of a young ValJar reading Max Horkheimer back in college…

I am aggravated that even Fox news hosts and guest continue to speak of the “2008 law signed by Bush” that protects children from non-adjacent countries from immediate repatriation. That was passed unanimously by a Democratic-majority Congress, but the real point is it was just a minor change to a 2000 law signed by Clinton.

Bush had NOTHING to do with the original law, he was still in Texas, and EVERYONE agreed the 2008 update was a needed improvement.

Screw the left. Every single word out of Obama’s mouth is a lie.

Your reference to Klavan (who is exactly right) reminds me that this is a thing I’m growing more irritated about.

I’m starting to get really bored with people jumping in to a “barack sucks” thread to say that barack is some sort of evil, sooper genius because, “Hey, look how effective he’s been at destroying America,” or however they phrase it.

Well of course. Any idiot can destroy things they don’t understand. All you have to have is the brazenness to break it while looking directly at the people you screwed over and tell them, “Hey, I’m the one trying to fix it.”

He’s a duplicitous, fumbling idiot, and so are the folks who fall for his, “I’m trying to fix it,” BS.
I mean, hey, addicts learn to lie convincingly to their families. That doesn’t make them geniuses, either.

Interestingly, Obama described himself in his first book as a “lackluster student” at Occidental, which immediately raises the question of how he was able to transfer. Then as now, Columbia required even better transcripts for 3rd year transfers than for freshmen, since they would be coming into a major program cold turkey. So how did he get in?

Even more curious, not a single member of his graduating class remembers him, and only one professor – who came forward long after the questions were raised. Isn’t that odd for people who went to school with or taught a future President?

While he blocks us from his records, we know he didn’t graduate with honors because those lists are published, and none of his aliases is on it. But even honors grads from Columbia don’t all gt into Harvard Law, so how did a non-honors grad do it?

He let us see him go 2-23 shots at basketball. He threw out the first pitch like a girl. He bikes with a gay helmet and mom jeans on.

But not a single photo of a live links shot. Just imagine how bad he must be at golf.

Not many, it’s true and one of his weaknesses. Nothing passed unanimously, for sure. But the intent was not what we are seeing, and everyone including the Central Americans understood that, else the waves would have started then.

It was when Obama unilaterally announced he would not deport minors that the floodgates opened.

Albert Gore, John Kerry, George W. Bush all had the experience of seeing their transcripts released whether they sought that or not. Wagers that a dean superordinate to the registrar at Columbia signed out the microfiche on which his transcripts are recorded and threw them in an office safe so that no one not on board with the program would leak them.

The stubborn insistence on the part of college administrators in building patron-client relationships with blacks by doing them favors (or what they fancy are favors) is one of the curios of our age. (Do not expect an academic sociologist to study and discover what the sources of this insistence are).

One of the ironies here is that previous performance in Obama’s case actually did under-predict future performance (in academic settings, not any other settings). I’d wager his academics improved after 1981 because he wasn’t so baked anymore.
