VIDEO: The Brilliant @EvanSayet Explains How Liberals ‘Think’

Posted on | July 25, 2014 | 21 Comments

Evan Sayet has been called “brilliant” so often by so many people that I hesitate to call him brilliant for fear of being accused of plagiarism, but to call him merely “smart” is to underestimate him. To call him “funny” — he has been a professional stand-up comedian and writer for decades — is to risk that people will miss the genuine seriousness of Evan’s insights. Did I mention that his recent book The Kindergarten of Eden: How the Modern Liberal Thinks and Why He’s Convinced That Ignorance Is Bliss is the most important book since Johannes Gutenberg invented movable type? So we must ponder Evan’s analysis of the liberal mind:

“They have actually turned thinking into a hate crime. . . .
The only way not to be a bigot is to never think at all.
So it’s not that the liberal is stupid, it’s that he’s
made thinking into something that he will not engage in.”

When Evan told me today about this insight, I immediately felt the urge to tell him about the weird conflict between the “transgender community” and radical feminists. The trannies have become so extreme in their ideology, rhetoric and tactics — they’ve begun “doxing” their enemies — that they have forced me to agree with radical feminists. Whatever else the feminists may be wrong about, they are correct that “woman” is a biological condition involving XX chromosomes and, y’know, being born with a vagina. This isn’t prejudice, it’s science. So if you’re a heterosexual man who gets sex-change surgery, you are not a lesbian and are not entitled to inclusion in women-only lesbian feminist events. Yet such is the liberal devotion to “inclusion” and “diversity” that the organizers of the London Dyke March had a tranny as their featured speaker, and when actual lesbian feminists showed up to protest this decision, Dyke March organizers sicced the cops on the protesters.

Science is now HATE! Biology is transphobia!

This is where the anti-thinking agenda of liberalism has led us: Facts and logic are considered evidence of prejudice and bigotry.

Can anyone save us from the yawning abyss of insanity?

“Help us, Evan Sayet. You’re our only hope.”

Liberalism is all about shaking your fist at God. How unfair. Jojo was a man who thought he was a woman, but he was another man. It’s God’s fault. God doesn’t exist, but we hate him.

Isn’t it weird to even have to say something that is so trivial as a point in an argument. It’s like having a discussion with someone where you have to point out that 1+1=2, and they won’t even concede that. You can say it is math all you like, but they insist that it just isn’t true.

Sayet is correct, of course. The condition he describes is limited to the garden variety “useful idiots” who have ordered up their philosophy and world view from a drive-thru. “Diversity combo with a side order of patriarchy and a large Global Warming.” It’s intellectual laziness, but it is rewarded by having all the “right people” pat you on the head and tell you how smart you are, simply because you parrot what you’re told and refuse to acknowledge any facts or arguments which contradict the received wisdom. Thus, we can have a zillion liberals telling us “State” really means “federal government” for purposes of health insurance tax break and subsidies, even though there are hundreds of pronouncements on record to the contrary by the same people. Were the results of this sort of mindset not so potentially horrific for our country, the whole thing would be quite amusing.

I really see a Cult of Choice picking up steam. Don’t take ANYTHING that the world (God, fate or nature) puts on your plate! Choose everything! Gender? Hey, that’s up to you!

And so many right-wingers leap on me when I bring up extreme choice as a sin, like I’m “anti-freedom.” But if you look at all the deadly sins, you’ll see that they are positive drives taken to idiotic extremes.

Lust is the simple need to procreate taken into a state of madness. Gluttony: the simple act of eating turned into a sin. Greed? Well, responsible people put some money aside; but if you have 50 billion and you’re still trying to make more, that’s when you’re losing God. Pride? Well, if you’ve accomplished something impressive, you should be proud – but not arrogant.

Likewise, liberty can be taken to a level of destructive insanity. Hence, the Cult of Choice.

Off-topic: I think efficiency can also be driven to a ludicrous extreme, wherein we are tracked and categorized every moment of the day.

It is funny to me that South Park absolutely destroyed the transsexual argument years ago, yet people still want to think that mutilating your physical body will somehow make you a member of the opposite sex.

Well put, but let me quibble with one of your points a bit:

Greed? Well, responsible people put some money aside; but if you have 50
billion and you’re still trying to make more, that’s when you’re losing
    God.

Indeed, you are more than likely, at that point, starting to lose God because of the corrupting Temptations such seemingly unending amounts of wealth bring about naturally.

But, that should not stop one from continuing to accumulate wealth if one dedicates oneself to truly good causes – in other words: starts a determined program to give a lot of it away.

The key is for it not to be given to causes [ala Bill and Melinda Gates] that ultimately seek to destroy Western Civilization.

It may feel weird, but it is not surprising at all because that is where Ideology inevitably leads.

Ideologues construct a false Reality and seek to impose it upon Reality – on real people living in the actual World.

As their ideas are developed in the sterile laboratories of their own minds, far away from Reality, in order for their schemes to work,
Reality must bee bent and twisted so that it comports with the sterile scenario they are seeking to impose on Reality. Thus, when it is
    necessary: 2+2 must = 5.

    From Nineteen Eighty-Four:

Shall I tell you why we have brought you here? To cure you! To make you sane! Will you understand, Winston, that no one whom we bring to this place ever leaves our hands uncured? We are not interested in those stupid crimes that you have committed. The Party is not interested in the overt act: the thought is all we care about. We do not merely destroy our enemies, we change them. Do you understand what I mean by that?’ [Part III, Chapter 2]

I don’t think a person can play ANY game with that much money and not break things. Charities become dogma and worse-than-welfare machines.

And I stand by the notion that no one can acquire a billion dollars in the first place without playing completely evil games with pretend money and interest – civilization-damaging tools.

Also: I’d like to add to my thought that I was just thinking about the Cult of Choice today and how it is always opposed to tradition; in fact, hates tradition just for BEING tradition. (Nothing done before you arrived on the Earth is worth anything.) Furthermore, how it’s at the forefront of the “I’m spiritual but not religious” movement, because you don’t ever want to confront a spiritual idea that tells you “No, you may NOT” do something.
