The Rotherham Horror

Imagine if more than a thousand girls, some as young as 11, were sexually exploited by members of a fundamentalist religious cult. Now imagine that authorities refused to act to stop this heinous abuse of young girls because of their fear of offending public opinion.

Except you don’t have to imagine this. It actually happened.

And the fundamentalist religious cult? Yeah: Islam.

UK HORRIFIC REVELATIONS: How fear of being
called ‘racist’ prevented social workers from
rescuing up to 1,400 mostly white girl children
from sexual abuse and exploitation by
Muslim sex ‘grooming’ gangs in just one town!

That headline at Bare Naked Islam is rather inflammatory, but it’s difficult to describe this story in a way that is non-inflammatory. If you have even the slightest shred of human decency in your soul, this is a story that will make you scream bloody murder. Donald Douglas has this (slightly) less inflammatory headline at American Power:

Sex Abuse Ignored in Britain: 1,400 Girls
Raped by Muslim Sex-Trafficking Gangs
as Police Feared ‘Racism’ Accusations

Fear is a powerful incentive. Severe legal and social sanctions against the expression of “racism” have had the effect in England, as in the United States, of making it impossible to speak honestly about race relations. The situation in England is doubly difficult, because so many of their racial minorities — immigrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc., whom the British call “Asians” — are also Muslims.

Americans are often shocked when their own opposition to radical Islam is called “racism,” because Islam is a religion, not a race. In England and much of Europe, however, the racial and religious categories overlap to such a degree as to be nearly indistinguishable. Christianity has so declined in secularized Europe that the fact their burgeoning immigrant population is Muslim is less obvious than the fact the immigrants are brown-skinned, and so “racism” is the accusation commonly leveled against European critics of the cultural jihad. Fear of being branded “racist” therefore paralyzed officials in Rotherham, England:

The sexual abuse of about 1,400 children at the hands of Asian men went unreported for 16 years because staff feared they would be seen as racist, a report said today.
Children as young as 11 were trafficked, beaten, and raped by large numbers of men between 1997 and 2013 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, the council commissioned review into child protection revealed.
And shockingly, more than a third of the cases were already know to agencies.
But according to the report’s author: ‘several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist’.
Professor Alexis Jay, who wrote the report, condemned the ‘blatant’ collective failures by the council’s leadership, concluding: ‘It is hard to describe the appalling nature of the abuse that child victims suffered.’
The landmark report which exposed widespread failures of the council, police and social services revealed:

  • Victims were doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, terrorised with guns, made to witness brutally-violent rapes and told they would be the next if they spoke out;
  • They were raped by multiple perpetrators, trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten and intimidated;
  • One victim described gang rape as ‘a way of life’;
  • Police ‘regarded many child victims with contempt’;
  • Some fathers tried to rescue their children from abuse but were arrested themselves;
  • The approximate figure of 1,400 abuse victims is likely to be a conservative estimate of the true scale of abuse.

The lack of reports was partly down to a fear of being racist, Prof Jay wrote, as the majority of the perpetrators were described as ‘Asian men’, and many were said to be of Pakistani origin.
One young person told the inquiry that ‘gang rape’ was a usual part of growing up in the area of Rotherham where she lived. . . .
The failures happened despite three reports between 2002 and 2006 ‘which could not have been clearer in the description of the situation in Rotherham’. . . .
Teachers reported seeing children as young as 11, 12 and 13 being picked up outside schools by cars and taxis, given presents and mobile phones and taken to meet large numbers of unknown men in Rotherham or other local towns and cities.

You can read the whole thing at the Daily Mail. If this story sounds rather familiar to regular readers, it’s because I reported on a quite similar story from Derbyshire nearly four years ago:

That “rape gang” story in 2010 exposed the shocking extent of what can only be described as cultural decadence in England. In most cases, the young white girls who are exploited are from what used to be called the “working class,” but who are in fact part of the Welfare Class. People in America who complain about welfare are accused of racism because of the mental association — welfare = “inner city” = black — that is a common stereotype.

Yet every problem caused by welfare policies in America, which we mentally associate with “inner city” blacks, is also evident among the white “inner city” population of England. The population of Great Britain is about 95% white, and England’s lower-class welfare-mooching ghetto scum are no less demoralized and crime-prone despite the fact that they are also overwhelmingly white.

Everything you might say about “inner city” culture in America can be applied to the lower-class whites in Great Britain who have been morally corrupted by their cradle-to-grave welfare system. Unwed motherhood, educational failure, drug addiction, violent thuggery — white people are entirely capable of these things, once they succumb to the self-pitying slothful dependency of welfare culture.

Our provincialism prevents Americans from recognizing what this means in terms of our own welfare policies, simply because no American can criticize welfare without being suspected of racism. Political correctness creates this helpless confusion, a confusion that is every bit as dangerous as the attitudes which prevented authorities in Rotherham from doing something about the dreadful exploitation of lower-class white girls — mere girls, some of them as young as 11 or 12 — by rape gangs of young Muslim men. Of course, American feminists who hector us about “rape culture” on college campuses won’t say a word about this story.

Feminism’s alliance with the Democrat Party implicates them in the welfare culture that enables the sexual exploitation of young girls. If you’re waiting for feminists to demonstrate their intellectual integrity, you’ll be waiting until Hell freezes over.

“Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual
Exploitation in Rotherham (1997 – 2013)”

    – remove perverse incentives, by making aid an unattractive option. Will young girls risk living in a barracks because they ignored all their parents warnings, and got knocked up? Will they have a second child, while living in a poor house? At least there should be good availability of affordable babysitters, in a women’s barracks .

    And put the mens barracks on the opposite side of town. Those who want to get laid will have to persuade girls they will provide a stable home.

    In 1 step, we’d be on our way back to a civilised society: replace all aid programs with poorhouses

    There are exactly two kinds of muslims in the word. Those who approve of terrorism, pedophilia & violence against women and those who don’t understand the first thing about their own religion.

    Sometimes, when staring into the abyss, one is reminded that the abyss looks back with evil intent. Ignoring the abyss does not make it go away or turn it into the big rock candy mountain. Of all things good in this world there exists an evil standing in opposition to it. Standing at the right hand of that evil, with blood-soaked hands, is Islam.

    I’m fascinated by how they’re trying to hide the ethnicity of the perpetrators.

    Most stories claim this perverts were “Asians”. And who do we think of when we hear Asian? Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc.

    But that’s not who the perpetrators are, they’re MUSLIMS and only peripherally can be called “Asian”.

    Liberals love to twist words don’t they?

    In London and GB, Asian is understood to be Muslim, so the ethnicity is understood from that perspective. But I agree it was originally done to hide ethnicity and religious affiliation of these types.

    As a child I lived in Saudi Arabia. My family lived in a walled compound owned by the company my dad worked for. It had gate guards and us kids weren’t allowed off the compound without our parents. I remember once trying to get off the compound with some other kids to go look for a lost pet. Thank God for the gate guards. I think back on that day and now realize that if they’d been any less watchful, I wouldn’t be here now. It actually scares me realizing what could have happened to me as a little blonde white girl alone in a Muslim country.

    While I agree with your assessment about the guard, strangely enough, you were probably in less danger in Saudi Arabia than in the English Midlands (at least back in the day). I am no fan of fanatical Islam, and Saudi society can be very corrupt and one sided against foreigners, but the Saudis are pretty harsh even on their own citizens when it comes to crime against children and Western professionals and their families had a certain status that guest workers from say Nepal or the Philippines (or for that matter even Muslim guest workers from Pakistan) do not.

    I don’t know about that. My mother was almost beaten by religious police for not kneeling down and praying when the call to prayer came (she had black hair and olive skin, so she looked very much like a native, but she wasn’t wearing an abaya). The only reason she wasn’t is because she basically got in his face (and by that point my dad had come closer).

    I do know that following our time in Saudi Arabia my dad doesn’t make any bones about the fact that he thinks Muslims are the biggest pieces of shit in the world. He dealt with them daily, all day, and was fluent in the language, so he understood what was being said around us when we did leave the compound.

    Given what I know about Muslim culture based off of having lived in the M.E. and hearing what guys in the military over there saw (and seeing some of the videos they took of what they saw), I’d be willing to bet the Catholic Church couldn’t hold a candle to the abuse and sexual depravity Islam is responsible for (whether Muslims want to admit it or not). I don’t think anybody – including Catholics – are willing to let the Catholic Church off easily for their role in hiding child sex abuse. But then, it’s a predominantly white religion started by white men, so it’s an easy target. Islam, however, is a predominantly brown religion founded by a brown man. And if there’s one thing liberals and their soft bigotry of low expectations has taught me, it’s that brown people can’t be expected to have, among basic intelligence, morals and a sense of what’s right without very white privileged liberals telling them what to do. And even then they will be excused if they don’t follow along.

  23. concern00

    But 1400 cases in 16 years? In a once great Christian god fearing country? To my humble self that is almost inconceivable. And to have it almost explicitly enabled by the authorities in the name of PC b/s is beyond inexcusable. To paraphrase an ISIS concept, heads must roll.

    That merely serves to magnify the horror of these rape and jihad loving thugs.

    You aren’t going to find any large-scale organization so pure that no members have committed crime (Niven’s Law #16).

    The corollary to that is the fact that organizations with a mission to help children are magnets for child abusers. If you think the Catholic Church is bad, take a look at the various foster care systems in the US.

    In England, every thing east of the Suez and west of the International Date line and north of Darwin is considered Asia. It’s just like how they call car trunks boots, add a “u” in spelling words, and every thing that projects a light and not a lamp is called a torch. The better news services in England would refer to everyone from India to Jordan as East Asians to call out the difference between the regions. Yet, just like the US media and thier shifting lexicon on migrant workers, now everyone who is not African or Caribbean and colored not white is called Asian in British media.

    What we are seeing is the end results of demographic decline. After the baby boom, successive Labour governments instituted ever more “social programs” paid for by tax payers. Think “Great Society” on steroids. The Conservatives couldn’t bring themselves to gut the thing, even under Thatcher, who tried to do it and was pilloried for it.

    With those financial incentives, more people went on the dole and fewer people were having kids who actually became productive citizens. More workers were needed to pay the bill. Suddenly immigration became the answer, and low did great numbers of Pakis descend upon what once was a great country.

    Now, we see the result. While the nature of the “immigrants” here is different, the purpose is the same. Import huge numbers of brown, ill-educated Mexicans to put money in the coffers to pay the Baby-Booms viagra bills.

    I’m sorry for being a Negative Nellie here, but you’re basically describing how the social engineers could give utopian crèches a toehold in the U.S., which I had optimistically assumed was impossible, since free people would rather raise their own kids. When they destroy the family, kids will still have to be raised somewhere…

    I can all-too-easily picture them spinning the first crèches as a *conservative* victory in the culture war, by dressing them up as poorhouses. Of course they’ll be humane ones, at least for the kids, because it isn’t their fault. So, the women’s houses will need a built-in daycare — but not the men’s, because patriarchy.

    That’s just Brit-speak. With the exception of a few Hong-Kong citizens, whose citizenship rights of UK residence were terminated as soon as the brown hordes became overwhelming (go figure), the generic term “Asian” covers most of the subjects of the old British empire from Pakistan to Hong-Kong.

    What wasn’t obvious to the man in the street back in the ’50s and ’60s when immigration began to become a problem, was that there was a difference between the Indians and the “Paki’s”: The religions of Indians are about peace (Hindus)and mutual defense (Sikhs), but the religion of Paki’s is about aggression – this did not become painfully clear until entire towns were dominated by this sick monoculture.
    Follow the takeover of entire towns with tolerance of Sharia law, and you have a complete breakdown of English Common Law, as well as the rights of British Subjects under it – especially those poor girls.

  50. Mike Rogers
    August 28th, 2014 @ 7:31 am

    NO. See my comment on the topic.
    “Asian” is understood to be everything from Pakistan to Hong-Kong, with Japan as an afterthought (Japs, Nips)
    What wasn’t understood soon enough was that the “Paki’s”, at least those who practiced Islam, were evil.

    I actually think that initially, the immigrants assimilated, with the majority tending to be practicing Christians, but as Christianity declined, the old evils came back.
