Merry Christmas, Haters

Posted on | December 25, 2014 | 82 Comments

Reuters reports:

Protests flared into early Thursday in the St. Louis suburb where a white policeman fatally shot a black man who brandished a gun at a gas station on Tuesday night.
A group of protesters marched onto Interstate 170 in the city of Berkeley, Missouri, around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, blocking traffic for roughly 45 minutes. The demonstration followed a vigil at the Mobil On The Run gas station where the shooting occurred.
The site was just a few miles from the Ferguson street where a white police officer shot dead 18-year-old Michael Brown in August, fuelling weeks of protest in the region and across the country.

People obsessed with race keep pointing out white cop, black suspect, because fomenting racial hatred is all that matters to them. There is video of this incident, however, and police say it appears the suspects may have been attempting to stage an ambush: When the officer responded to a reported theft at the Mobil gas station/convenience store, he encountered two suspects, one of whom drew a 9mm pistol.

That 18-year-old suspect had an extensive criminal record, having been previously charged with “three assaults, armed robbery, armed criminal action and multiple uses of weapons since he was 17.” Police say the serial number had been filed off the suspect’s pistol, indicating the weapon was probably stolen.

From what we know, then, it appears that this suspect was a one-man crime wave — a menace to society, a dangerous thug — and the police officer who shot him was entirely justified in doing so. We have already seen how hateful race-baiting rhetoric motivated Ismaaiyl Brinsley to murder NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos. As one retired NYPD officer said on CNN: “We have two dead police officers, and I guess Al Sharpton got what he wanted.”

The dangerous consequences of promoting irresponsible hate-mongers like Sharpton, however, won’t stop the liberal media from recycling an anti-police narrative which implies that in any conflict between a white cop and a black criminal, the criminal is actually a victim.

On a parallel hate front, we have feminists whose desire to fight “rape culture” led to a hoax at the University of Virginia in which members of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity were falsely accused of gang rape by a girl who evidently invented her attacker, “Haven Monahan.” (The false accuser reportedly plagiarized an episode of the old teen drama Dawson’s Creek in a fake e-mail.) Why did this apparent fabrication become a lurid 9,000-word article in Rolling Stone? Because it seems that the writer, Sabrina Rubin Erdely, was hunting for a dramatic rape story at an “elite” university, a heinous crime perpetrated by “privileged” rapists — in other words, she wanted a horror tale in which the demonized villains were rich white males. The tale told by Jackie at UVA fit that feminist narrative. Unfortunately for Erdely (and for the feminist narrative), it seems that Jackie is a pathological liar and, whatever the reality of “rape culture” on campus, the Phi Kappa Psi brothers were falsely accused.

“But like most colleges across America, genteel University of Virginia has no radical feminist culture seeking to upend the patriarchy.”
Sabrina Rubin Erdely, Rolling Stone

This kind of hate is all about progressive ideas of “social justice.” Yet as Friedrich Hayek showed, social justice is a mirage — the utopia toward which radical egalitarian ideologues claim to be leading us does not exist, and can never exist, simply because human society requires social order and all social orders involve hierarchy. Once you realize that “equality” is a false goal, you realize that what progressives are actually doing is destroying the existing social order — democracy, economic liberty, the rule of law — with the intention to replace it with a social order controlled by a political elite, with less real liberty for the “masses” and no rule of law to protect the rights of individuals.

It is amazing to me that any American would let these hateful demagogues appealing to prejudice persuade us to embrace their “social justice” swindle, a dishonest scam by which a power-hungry elite seek to defraud us all of our true inheritance, liberty.

Merry Christmas, and may God bless America.

“. . . the utopia toward which radical egalitarian ideologues claim to be leading us does not exist . . . .”

and, of course, Thomas More’s coining of the name “Utopia” comes from the Greek meaning “no place” (< New Latin (1516) < Greek ou not + tóp (os) a place).

That was simply outstanding. You outdid yourself old friend. Perhaps the greatest piece you’ve ever written.

I’m astonished by the new bit of info you bring up about the Berkley Stop ‘n Shop shooting as a possible ambush. You’re right. NOBODY has brought up that possibility before. You’re the first, as far as I know. I’d like to know more. It seems entirely plausible.

Stacy seems to think for some reason that my comment above was sarcastic. It is not. I have not seen anyone else any where’s bring up the theory that the Berkeley shooting might have been an ambush. Perhaps this explains why CNN and other media this morning are kind of inching themselves away from the story. You can read between the lines of the pieces on Berkeley, they’re not at all comfortable with the narrative.

Which tells me, maybe this was an ambush, and Stacy’s on to something here.

I incurred the life long enmity of a union strike organizer when while talking to him about what they were doing and what he/they wanted, I had an epiphany and then made the mistake of blurting it out.

I told him that he didn’t care about the unfairness or how the system worked, he just wanted himself and his associates to be in charge of it and at the top. OOPS!

Never spoke to me afterwards and I had some interactions with others that on reflection were because of things he was saying then about me.

that’s when I began my journey away from liberalism.

The reason I’ve found it so useful to view this phenomenon in the science-fiction community is because it is a smaller venue to observe this social justice warrior mechanism by which hate speech is mainstreamed as its complete opposite. One can look at the exact players involved and see who is pushing, who is listening and who has street cred as it were. It allows one to see things like Trayvon Martin, Ferguson and the U of VA rape hoax much more clearly and how they came to be.

There is no doubt the ideology adopted as orthodoxy in SF reflects the larger reality in America. It is lesbian gender feminism with that added privilege/racial/colonialism element added by critical race theory intersectionalism. The four great evils are whites, men, heterosexuals and the West.

There are two elements one can see at work in this phenomenon in America. The first is racist and sexist supremacists with a psychotically obsessive disdain for Western straight white men. That bigotry is presented as a defensive anti-oppression movement rather than the extremely aggressive and hateful thing it is.

The second are middle class naive justice warriors whose own obsession is to be seen as being Mississippi Freedom Riders fighting the good fight. Like their racist handlers, they see racism and sexism everywhere. What maintained Jim Crow and women’s suffrage is redefined, revived, and dragged into the present.

That journey from hate to nobility is the same journey crazy Nazis took from being a group of sociopathic fringe lunatics to having access to venerable, respected and credible institutions of media, gov’t and academia. Cries of Godwin’s Law accompanies any attempt to legitimately view the larger commonalities involved – the larger philosophical and intellectual space – by using the strawman of genocide. But the argument isn’t the particulars and where they actually led, the argument is the process. The process is mainstreaming hate under a false flag of nobility and need.

Just as this hate is legitimized, the obvious answer to fight back is to identify who it is engaged in this process and delegitimize them. That means singling out people and showing how they are lying.

Whether it’s cops, video-games, movies, or books, the social justice movement singles out anything that is too male, white, straight and Western and gives it their special attention. Any opposite number is left strictly alone, whether racial murders far in excess of a white threat, rap music, women’s romance fiction or non-Western colonialism.

Obvious legitimized sources of this non-stop hate speech are Sharpton, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Marcotte, Valenti, Melissa Harris-Perry, and Eric Holder. They pretend to talk about issues but they do nothing but demonize and scapegoat whites and men in the same gods/devils scenario Nazis used to scapegoat Jews.

There is no world in which one ethnic group or sex is always wrong. There is no such thing as an argument which aggressively stipulates racial and sexual cultural failure in one place as readily as it rejects that same thing elsewhere. The misogyny everywhere/misandry nowhere argument is a perfect example.

It appears a group of leftist, race-baiting thugs (but I repeat myself), have started combat operations against local law enforcement, local government and thus law-abiding citizens.

The leftist, race-baiting thugs (but I repeat myself again), appear to be acting at least with the acquiescence, if not outright encouragement, of elements of the central government that is usurping power and authority not granted it by the Constitution and using the organs of the central government to foment additional acts of violence against local law enforcement, local government, and thus law-abiding citizens.

Is the central government now using proxies to wage war against law-abiding citizens? Such action could hardly be considered a legitimate function of the central government.

One is left to wonder what might such a central government do when they have millions more illegal immigrants at their beck and call, many of whom are repeat violent offenders and armed with weapons supplied by an organ of the central government?

Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong would be so proud of their disciples.

Did anyone notice? This time the gun wielding victim at least gets to be a “man”. Same age as Brown, who was relegated to childhood, or at least juvenile status (“boy” anyone?), but this time the journalists have decided that the 18 year old who was shot gets adult status.

In the clever recasting by liberals, people who are “of color” are part of the ideologically red collective. People who are “white” are a proxy for people who hold conservative values, which are in themselves vestiges of the values of people who hold godly values as seen in the Ten Commandments.

If this were not true, then how is it possible for Nobel Prize winning poet Tony Morrison to write an October 1988 New Yorker article titled “Clinton as the first black president” where Clinton was “Blacker than any actual black person who could ever be elected in our children’s lifetime.”

Similarly, how is it possible for Time magazine’s Jack White to call Supreme Court Justice Thomas, “the scariest of all the hobgoblins”, saying “Washington seems to be filled with white men who make black people uneasy”?

I could give many others. Just recall the media reaction to conservatives who happened to be black like Herman Cain, Michael Steele or former Congressman Alan West. In the subversive liberal recasting of race as a proxy for ideology, conservatives who happen to be black could not possibly be “black”.

This is the state of liberal attempts to define and occupy the moral high ground in society. Liberals must destroy anyone who opposes The Agenda, no matter how many layers of lies must be woven and no matter how vicious the rhetoric must get. We live in dangerous times when basic truths are so malleable and plastic.

  22. Fail Burton

Social Justice Warriors and their supremacist racist handlers aren’t even pretending anymore. ANY black criminal shot for ANY reason is a victim now. There’s the ultimate expression of your “punching up” power/privilege theory. It’s a con game set up so one race never loses and the other never wins, much like Frankfurt Am Main, circa 1936.

Saudis can put women in jail for BEING raped but the U of VA won’t divest themselves of those massive donations. However they will shut down frats for doing exactly nothing.

SJWs will be quick to point out the unfairness of drug busts cuz whites do just as many drugs as blacks. Take that same thinking about stats and point out the 23% black populace of NYC was responsible for 72% of gun shootings in 2011 and suddenly good examples and stats go bad.

The pretense at principle is pathetic. Everything SJWs say is a lie.

Indeed. There are enough forced seduction rape scenes in women’s erotic fiction to fill every issue of Rolling Stone for the rest of time, but going after that would expose them as humorless, sex-negative harpies policing other people’s thoughts for the wrong kind of fun. Which they are, but they don’t want to be seen that way, so they go after safer targets… for now.

Actually, reporters called Michael Brown a “teen” since their Cultural Sensitivity card would be revoked if they called a black man a “boy”. Besides, in victim narratives, they prefer gender-neutral terms for males (such as “student” or “teacher”). However, if a male subject is dangerous, then all of a sudden they’re allowed to have a sex, in order to play into the dominant gendered threat narrative.

You are completely right about this. Hayek exposed the fraud that social justice is. It cannot serve as a principle to organize society, other than in terms of something akin to a prison. There can be no rules. It just comes down to Lenin’s question of “Who, Whom?” But the difficulty is that on any nuanced view Garner’s death is an affront to a free society and the policeman should have been charged. Why? Because we should not be placed in the position of defending the excesses of the tax collectors for the welfare state. No one’s life is worth collecting tax on some loose cigarettes.

‘That 18-year-old suspect had an extensive criminal record, having been previously charged with “three assaults, armed robbery, armed criminal action and multiple uses of weapons since he was 17.”’

So, what was a young criminal who had so many arrests for serious violent crimes in a little over a year doing walking around free? Seems like a pretty obvious failure of the justice system that could use some investigating.
