Band Idea: The Alpha Epsilon Stigma

Let’s just add our voices to the ‘duh’ chorus for Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Hopefully the rank stupidity of a song invoking the Bigger Digger Trigger will lead to a general purging of all such moronic material from two centuries ago. We want to flatter ourselves that these United States got past this trash; thanks for giving Eric Holder ammunition. You don’t give Eric Holder ammunition. He wets himself, literally and orally. Instapundit writes in USA Today:

You may think it’s unfair for me to treat [the racist chants and the subsequent expulsions] as comparable, and if you do think that you’re right: The difference is that David Boren broke the law, while the [Sigma Alpha Epsilon] brothers merely behaved badly.
As a state institution, the University of Oklahoma is constrained by the Constitution. Among other things, that means that it must respect the free speech guarantees contained in the First Amendment, even if that speech is repugnant. Just because the university doesn’t like what students say, thinks it’s hateful, or worries that it will produce an unpleasant atmosphere on campus, doesn’t grant it the authority to punish people for speaking. One would think that Boren — a former U.S. senator who took an oath to uphold the Constitution when he was sworn into office — would know better. Apparently not.

Here’s the idea: form a gangsta rap cover act, and go on tour. Cover well-known outbursts of racism, misogyny, anti-police hatred, and generally Holder-esque stupidity. For a sample of the desired form, see:

Let the Left figure out how to deal with the dissonance of such a rank stream of foolishness, which Commie rags like Rolling Stone have been giving five stars for years, coming from the bad boys of OU.
Meanwhile, The Alpha Epsilon Stigma can be just the kind of extended self-denunciation we need to keep the Racism Industrial Complex at bay.

Smitty, you are truly one messed up individual. And I like that in a person.

Williams was also cited as being someone who was “part of the ongoing protests” and told them he was there “as a demonstrator.” He had been seen taking part multiple times in the past. Not an outside agitator.Has anyone else noticed these peaceful protests only happen at night?

It’s come to the point where defense of constitutional rights, hell even being aware of their existence is entirely up to the private sector.

How about a Carpenters-style version of the most filthy lyrics of Beyonce? The funny thing is that song’s satire was ready-made. That might be obvious to anyone aware rap is basically protest music made by Murder, Inc. In the ’40s and ’50s the syndicate listened to Italian crooners. Today the new syndicate makes their own music and it ain’t crooning. I’m trying to imagine a fusion and Mafia music videos from the ’40s. I’m sure you’d see J. Edgar Hoover with a mustache “no-homos” poster and FBI and cops machine gunned in the streets with wenches in taffeta dresses vacuuming the house before they were b-slapped into making some spaghetti. “Hi [redacted], I’m hooooome!”

It’s pretty clear from reading intersectionalist rhetoric they have no interest in the Bill of Rights. The funny thing there is the first to get b-slapped when it totters to the ground will be the very “marginalized” who ripped it up, unless they suddenly figure out how to make every bit of tech in any given room they’re in at the time. It’s one thing to occupy an office or literary movement, another to build each from the ground up. They must think all this anti-white anti-male rhetoric results in a spate of hirings.

Wrong. It results in a spate of “Who? Hi. Go away.”

What is the limit of the university’s authority in this? As a supporter of the fraternity system, the University clearly has the right to withdraw that support for cause. It’s the expulsion of the individuals which would seem to me to have crossed the line.

Do people have a right to be racist? Of course they do: to say otherwise is to make thought a crime. Some behavior that is motivated by race can be prohibited — denying access to public accommodations is the obvious example — but speech cannot.

One wonders: if any University students are in possession of rap “songs” talking about niggas and ho’s, shouldn’t Mr Boren expel them?

I’ve been very active here, so I just want you to know that if I suddenly go silent, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a thing that I do sometimes when I need to recharge.

That’s just the way Mil-brats run. Either you get that way, or you don’t survive Mil-bratdom. It got even worse when my father was stationed in Germany. Smitty’s Naval rearing was much more sedate. The skill set, however, is the same.

Yes, but he won’t because only white males can be racist. What?!? You don’t think so? Just ask Rev Al.

As the old Southern saying goes, “root hog, or die!” I’m sure Smitty is familiar with it even though he’s from the left coast.
