Did Mobsters Beat Harry Reid?

Posted on | March 29, 2015 | 53 Comments

John Hinderaker at Powerline returns to the unanswered questions surrounding the retiring Democrat senator’s injuries:

When a guy shows up at a Las Vegas emergency room on New Year’s Day with severe facial injuries and broken ribs, and gives as an explanation the functional equivalent of “I walked into a doorknob,” it isn’t hard to guess that he ran afoul of mobsters. Yet the national press has studiously averted its eyes from Reid’s condition, and has refused to investigate the cause of his injuries. To my knowledge, every Washington reporter has at least pretended to believe Reid’s story, and none, as far as I can tell, has inquired further.

Read the rest. Reid’s corruption is notorious, even by Democrat standards. The media won’t tell the truth about him, but when was the last time the media told the truth about anything?

I’m leaning toward it being the father of some pre-teen boy.

Awhile back I read some parody scenario of how he got beaten up by the mob. Oh yeah, I remember…..I read it here, first.

    http://theothermccain.com/2015/01/10/meet-tony-senator-reids-occasional-62-225lb-taciturn-exercise-instructor/

“‘Well, I was led to understand that he was coming personally. Does sending a lackey indicate that he finally calmed down and decided to be reasonable?’ Reid came out swinging like usual. There was no point in me discussing anything with him whatsoever. So I reached down and cranked the treadmill up to 6.8 miles and hour. Arrogantly, refusing to give anything, Harry tries to keep up, and can, initially.

So I crank the thing up to 10.0 miles an hour. If Harry could have ever supported a six minute mile, it was probably back during the Ford Administration. He tries to put his hand down on the treadmill’s handhold, but he kinda ‘misses’. With some help from me. The belt kinda flings him off the back end, where he SPLATS! on the foam rubber mat.

Since it has been told before that Harry is a pederast (I read that on the internet so I feel confident that it is true enough to repeat), I suspect that the father’s of some of his young male trysts gave him the work over.

It does seem curious why injuries he suffered back on January 1 are still visible nearly 3 months later. Next time it might be concrete shoes, instead of just a lead pipe.

A “reliable source” told me that Harry Reid hasn’t paid any taxes in 10 years!
Also, standing too close to Harry Reid causes gout.

I believe the alternative theories are wishful thinking arising from our innate sense of justice, karmic or otherwise. I mean think about it. When was the last time liberty caught a break just because? When was the last time we read about a father going after a pederast living under a bridge let alone a public figure? As for the Mob, they use other means to keep Nevada Senators in line, doesn’t anybody remember Godfather II?
Alas I believe we’ll just have to accept the fact that it probably was a malfunctioning piece of gym equipment or that Harry is no longer the boxer the press so likes to tell us he is when he’s up for reelection and that his last victim managed to defend himself while making good his escape.

A reliable source also told me Harry Reid had Debbie Wasserman Shultz in a dog carrier and strapped her to the roof of his car where she pooped all over herself.

Even Nancy Pelosi would have to admit this scenario is as plausible as a “rubber exercise band broke and did all this to me.”

You think Harry Reid’s mob ties are bad, Chuck Schumer could be played by Robert Duvall when they make the movie. Why do you think Reid is recommending him?

His injury explanation seemed plausible to me, because they are typical treadmill accident injuries. drunks and geezers get them most often. So I’m willing to entertain the idea that the mob worked him over but is there anything but the described nature of his fall to point to a beating?

  19. Sarahw
    March 29th, 2015 @ 11:12 am

rubber band broke? I thought it was a treadmill accident. Was he using a solo flex or something (per his claims)?

Reid’s private sector employment since 1964 has consisted of nine years of law practice in what was then a 3d tier city. Yet, he has a net worth of $6.7 million. Maybe the press will look into that when they’re done trolling through Sarah Palin’s e-mails.
    (A. M. McConnell has even worse anomalies in his finances, though his defenders contend that his 8-figure wad derives from a gift-in-lieu-of-bequest to his wife from her daddy Warbucks).
Some of us of a certain age might recall that Walter Mondale left office in 1981 with a net worth of $15,000 and that his critics (e.g. Michael Kinsley) thought it a scandal that he accumulated $500,000 from lobbying at the firm of Winston & Strawn in 1981, 1982, and 1983. (Contextually equivalent sums today given the changes in nominal personal income since then would be $60,000 and $2,000,000). Not 20 years later, Rahm Emmanuel, a man who had no school training or work history in the business world, was paid an eight figure sum by Wasserstein, Perella for ‘investment banking services’. The Clinton era had a horrendous effect on the quality of personnel and the intramural culture of the Washington Democratic Party.

I have one of those soloflex machines. The bands do deteriorate over time, but an abrupt break is not the way they fail – they get weaker and stretchier, one side cracks and breaks first. A full power, abrupt surprise of a break? No way.

I notice that Reid was getting a bit uppity with Obama, after that POS got the (D)irtbags slaughtered in ’14’.

That sounds terribly unfair…..I’m trust that Harry Reid, being to good progressive he is, does not practice age discrimination. (As long as they’re under the age of say 18-19 years old)

Could it maybe be the period on the end of the Cliven Bundy standoff? Maybe the mob was relying on Reid to make that land grab happen so they could legitemize some of their money via subsidized solar farms?
