TERROR IN TEXAS: Gunmen Attack @PamelaGeller Event in Garland UPDATED: ISIS Takes Credit? ‘May Allah Accept Us as Mujahideen’
Posted on | May 3, 2015 | 77 Comments
Two gunmen opened fire at a “Draw Mohammed” art context in Texas, and the story is now being updated continually. Pamela Geller remains as courageously outspoken as ever:
This is a war. This is war on free speech. What are we going to do? Are we going to surrender to these monsters?
Two men with rifles and backpacks attacked police outside our event. A cop was shot; his injuries are not life-threatening, thank Gd. Please keep him in your prayers.
The bomb squad has been called to the event site to investigate a backpack left at the event site.
The war is here.

UPDATE: Brandon Darby reports at Breitbart.com:
GARLAND, Texas — Shots rang out this evening at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas during the Mohammed Art Exhibit and Contest. A law enforcement officer was shot and both suspects have been killed. Officers on the scene said that it is possible that explosives are in the area.
Attendees were immediately forced into lockdown by police, including three Breitbart News reporters. Sources say event organizer Pamela Geller and keynote speaker Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician, are safe. Breitbart Texas was conducting a live video interview with Geller at the moment of the attack.

UPDATE II: This is shocking news:
Just before the time of the attacks, at 7:35 EST, well before news agencies had reported the attacks, an Islamic twitter account reported that an attack was about to take place.

Has MSNBC found the connection to right-wing extremists and the TEA Party yet?

Hooray For Texas! Now I want to see a cartoon about these two dead monsters.
May 3rd, 2015 @ 10:30 pm
Geert Wilders was there! Welcome to the Free World Geert – here we shoot the terrorists first, not like Europe where the authorities let them shoot the Jewish people and the cartoonists first.
Anyone got any podcasts of his possible speech there?

I’m confused. I thought that for the Left, art is supposed to be transgressive.

Only to the intersectional kyriarchy. If it offends them, then it’s hate.
If they didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all…

Well they had assault rifles, didn’t they? Obviously, RWNJs by definition. /sarc

With the current disorders, this could be a very very bad harbringer of things to come. What’s next on the target list?
But I will not take counsel of my fears. Good work by the local LEOs.

Garland has been an unexpected place of controversy of late. Just last January I was listening to the conservative radio station and there was some concern over Garland ISD hosting Islamic speakers (found a link) https://www.facebook.com/22545701534/photos/a.10150760013791535.458210.22545701534/10153114340386535/
No one was shot during that, but bring along an anti-Islam group in the same place and the terrorists can’t wait to come out of the woodwork.

I was just listening to an interview with Pamela Geller where she referred to that “Stand With the Prophet” event, supporting Sharia restrictions on freedom of speech, that was just one week after the Charlie Hebdo shootings. She held this pro-freedom of speech event in the same building, even the same room, on purpose.

This will be the lefts first reaction the second of course will be hand ringing about backlash.

I want some details on who these people were, and why they were in the US.
May 4th, 2015 @ 12:23 am
I just heard in an interview with a police spokesman that they hadn’t even touched the bodies yet since they were too close to the car, and they were going to make sure that the car was clear of explosives before approaching them, so they hadn’t been identified yet.

What, and give up all his Obama freebies?
May 4th, 2015 @ 12:34 am
Could be he was the real target.
May 4th, 2015 @ 12:38 am
One of the details not mentioned here is that the program was scheduled to end at 7 pm local time, but was running over. The gunmen had likely planned to sweep the crowd filing out first, but got panicky – you can imagine even a jihadi waiting to commit mass murder is under a lot of stress which mounts by the minute – and decided to go ahead when it didn’t end as expected.
Sometimes it’s good not to keep strictly to the schedule. Here, it may have saved a lot of lives by staying for those extra questions.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they were home grown, or at least legal long-term residents. There are mosques preaching this stuff in all major cities – not all mosques of course, but enough.
It’s like noticing an infected cut on your leg, but waiting until gangrene sets in to do anything about it.
May 4th, 2015 @ 12:43 am
Yeah, the worst part will be Dear Leader lecturing we Christians about our diabolical past. Our secret bigotry…yada yada yada
May 4th, 2015 @ 12:53 am
And the cowardly coastal elites are already condemning…no, not the Islamists, dum dum, but Pamela Geller. They are asking why have this event in the first place, not even realizing that this is PRECISELY why we have this event.
Because the damned neolithic death cultists don’t get a barbarian’s veto over civilization. Because metrosexual poltroons may be happy living on their knees, but I will live on my feet. And if I die on them, then I am sending some of these savages to Hell first.

Yeah, Crusades, man.
May 4th, 2015 @ 1:01 am
Are you referring to Methodist mosques, or to Lutheran mosques?
As for the cut, the logic would be “Well, I don’t have any Neosporin, but there is some penicillin, so I’ll just wait a bit for infection to set in and then treat it.”
May 4th, 2015 @ 1:29 am
Was concealed carry allowed inside the venue?
May 4th, 2015 @ 3:04 am
No, everyone had to go through medal detectors.

Shouldn’t you be serving hot chocolate?

We are permitted to goad the opposition as much as we like; that’s the first. They are free to protest and use their first against us. If they’re stupid enough to attempt to use (inexpert) deadly force against our first then that’s where our second comes in.
May 4th, 2015 @ 3:21 am
Had a lot of medals did they?

Like I said, mental health issues, strongly influenced by some quack Dr. Peter Breggin.

Let me tell you where this is all heading. They’ll eventually shut down such events because of the violent reaction. However, first of all, notice there has never been such a reaction to over 30 years of the R-rated “Hunky Jesus” contest held outdoors in San Francisco. Secondly, were there such a reaction the Southern Poverty Law Center and GLAAD would start talking about hate groups and free speech and rally round the event. And talk about “homophobia.”
It is this moral and unprincipled vacuum and the attendant agenda which makes liberalism so dangerous. We’ll have “phobia” all right – “Islamophobia.”
May 4th, 2015 @ 5:01 am
That moron author Saladin Ahmed McCain recently quoted is comparing Geller to David Duke and asking if Duke would be considered a hero. The amazing stupidity of Ahmed is that his anti-white Twitter feed is the analogy he’s looking for, not Geller pushing back against a supremacist, intolerant and violent ideology.
May 4th, 2015 @ 6:42 am
I admire Ms. Geller for her courageous stands, but reading the linked article was depressing. The comment section was absolutely filled with ignorant hateful anti-Christian bile. My last visit there. Anyone who uses the latest Muslim atrocity to attack Christians is a world class a**hole is my thinking.
May 4th, 2015 @ 7:21 am
What are you, some sort of Crusades apologist?
May 4th, 2015 @ 7:49 am
An observation which has become extraordinarily trite with repetition, but I repeat it anyway: Compare and contrast the reaction some years back by the Christo-Fascists to Andres Serrano’s “art” to the present business in Texas, or the Charlie Hebdo, or the Danish “Draw Mohammed” controversy, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
May 4th, 2015 @ 8:34 am
Why did they put the attendees on lockdown? A good number of them were likely packing and could have helped the police. Although, come to think of it, the helpers would most likely have been killed by the police.
May 4th, 2015 @ 8:37 am
That would explain why the terrorists thought they might be successful.
May 4th, 2015 @ 8:41 am
The Crusades and Crusaders have nothing to apologize for.
