The Hateful Lies of Feminism

Posted on | February 22, 2016 | 143 Comments

Anita Sarkeesian (@FemFreq on Twitter) is a jargon-spewing pseudo-intellectual who made herself obnoxious by using feminist “gender theory” to critique videogames. This proved to be enormously lucrative for Ms. Sarkeesian, who became a heroine in the eyes of every left-wing ax-grinder who, like her, hates the idea of heterosexual white males enjoying themselves without being constantly lectured about what awful racist, sexist homophobes they are. Sarkeesian’s crooked hustle — “Pay me money to tell you how to abolish misogyny in videogames” — is a shakedown, a corrupt scam with which no honest person would wish to be associated. Sarkeesian’s modus operandi spawned imitators, who congealed into a money-grubbing feminist clown show that was exposed to the light of day in August 2014, #GamerGate.

Sarkeesian and her dimwit followers are incapable of original thought, and as soon as they began getting blowback from their shabby scam, they all began to shriek in unison, “Harassment!” This became the Official Media Narrative of what #GamerGate was about. Supposedly, every supporter of #GamerGate is a vile woman-hater, just harassing women qua women, because patriarchy or something. This claim is bullshit on stilts, but what else do the lazy hacks of the liberal media ever do except repeat whatever bullshit on stilts they are spoonfed by professional ideologues and Democrat Party propagandists?

The supposed “victims” of #GamerGate were a crew of no-talent mediocrities like Zoe Quinn (a tattoo-covered, mentally ill ex-stripper whose real name is Chelsea Van Valkenburg), perverted lunatics like Nicholas “Sarah” Nyberg (alleged to be a pedophile who likes little girls) and latter-day Mussolinis like Randi Harper. Regardless of whatever “harassment” has been directed at these people, it is difficult to ignore the fact that all of them are suffering from psychiatric disorders. Bad causes attract bad people, and are we surprised that this feminist “Girls in Games” racket attracted such a swarm of kooks and weirdos?

So, about two weeks ago, Twitter announced its Orwellian-sounding “Trust and Safety Council,” of which Anita Sarkeesian is a member. When my Twitter account was suspended Friday, some people (including Robby Soave of Reason magazine) put two and two together and concluded that perhaps Ms. Sarkeesian had something to do with this matter. Was this deduction valid? I don’t know. Twitter has cited nothing specific to justify its claim that I was “participating in targeted abuse,” and this opaque accusation was delivered as a verdict, so that I do not even have any way to know whom I was alleged to have “targeted.”

For dishonest women like Anita Sarkeesian, feminism is a sort of alchemy by which bullshit is transformed into cash, and she has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for her “non-profit” activism. How do you suppose such a shrewd opportunist would react to the suggestion that she might have some role in the apparent crackdown on Twitter dissent? Ms. Sarkeesian (a) accused her critics of being paranoid conspiracy theorists, and (b) offered her own paranoid conspiracy theory:

Blog posts have been written, video rants have been filmed, and hundreds of tweets have been posted as this ludicrous conspiracy has spread. According to this conspiracy, any opinions I don’t agree with are being quietly silenced, while the people expressing them are being ominously “shadowbanned.” . . .
Of course there isn’t a shred of truth to this perception, but for the people spreading it, the truth is irrelevant. . . .
This conspiracy and others like it are themselves a manifestation of misogyny, borne out of a deep distrust and hatred of women. They’re designed to foster fear and serve as a warning to other women about what awaits them if they challenge the status quo. . . .

What Ms. Sarkeesian failed to do, of course, was to explain why she is so hated in particular (Answer: Because she lies) or whether the suspension of my account was prompted by a complaint from her or one of her allies.

You see that feminism’s hegemonic cultural authority is the real “status quo” in 2016, and what better “warning” — “designed to foster fear” — than to silence the social-media voices of those who “challenge” the lies told by Anita Sarkeesian. She has never dared to debate any of her critics, and why? Because liars are always cowards, and feminism is always a lecture, never a debate.

Feminist rhetoric is so obviously false, and its logic so circular, that it seems condescending even to point out its errors. What would Ms. Sarkeesian say, for example, if I merely inverted her own accusation, to assert that the ideology to which she owes her entire career is “borne out of a deep distrust and hatred of men”? What if I said that, to feminists like her, “the truth is irrelevant”? How could Ms. Sarkeesian disprove such accusations, if they were directed at her? In fact, this kind of finger-pointing Grand Inquisitor style of rhetoric — Accuse! Accuse! Accuse! — is the sum and essence of feminism. It is all about ginning up anti-male hatred by making tendentious claims about “objectification” or “slut-shaming” or “rape culture” or whatever, and no one is ever permitted to question the authority of the accusers. Why should anyone care what Anita Sarkeesian says about videogames? Where is the “social justice” here, and whither does Ms. Sarkeesian propose to lead us? What real harm is caused by the alleged “misogyny” in videogames of which she complains? What is she doing, other than hustling a dollar?

Anita Sarkeesian, “Zoe Quinn,” Randi Harper, “Sarah” Nyberg, “Brianna Wu” — a parade of selfish frauds, “shrewdly exploiting gender as a means of gaining lucrative advantages,” as I have said.  No honest person could admire these shabby swindlers, nor would any wise person trust them.

Twitter is run by a bunch of hippies and crybabies who can’t breed. In a generation, they’ll just be the answer to an obscure trivia question. And I can’t believe this made Michelle Malkin use the F word! This is truly war.

Being an un-person is also freedom. Drown them in their own shit and then walk away.

It seems to me that you probably have a lot more friends, allies and supporters on twitter than writers of blogs. Therefore it seems to me that the ”mechanics” of a mass action would be a lot easier and have a larger effect than getting people to blog about a certain cretin.

Hello, i want to boycott both Facebook and Twitter, both of them have been censoring and silencing Christians and conservatives, Facebook has been at it for years now. Twitter is just starting to do that. Do we have alternatives to these two? How about Roust or MeWe? We Christians and conservatives need a social network that will not silence us or censor us.

So has anyone ever pointed out what concern trolls like Sarkeesian and co actually produce?
As far as i can tell they are walking resource suckers who produce nothing of originality or value.

Im unsure how shareholders meetings are managed in the USA but it would be interesting to see twitter quizzed on the value adding metric they are using to justify magicking up the “department of hurty feelings”.

The funny thing about the Penny/Sarkeesian pic, you can see Penny is damaged goods and deeply unhappy and Anita looks like a bad used car salesman, but with only 1/2 the sincerity.
Im glad they both look as happy as they deserve to be, not at all.

It’s probably no exaggeration to say at least 200,000 castles and fortresses have been constructed globally in the last 5,000 years, none by women. To whatever extent that is the result of misogyny is the extent you will find in video games.

Women have never built a major bridge or cathedral. The much longer list is essentially the history of humankind. One must not only have an irrational hatred of men to chalk that up to misogyny and patriarchy but almost certainly be delusional. To create an entire ideology out of that goes beyond mere delusion and sinks into madness. Radical lesbian Charlotte Bunch, the head of Rutgers women’s studies program since 1989 went one further and once wrote that in pre-history men “conquer[ed]” the women who “collectively controlled the land, culture, language and the communities.”

Bunch has traveled to China with Hillary Clinton and been given a medal by Bill when he was President. Her offspring smeared fake blood on their faces when Milo spoke at Rutgers, a complete contrast to 1973, when Germaine Greer debated William Buckley at Cambridge in front of a good-natured crowd of mostly men who passed the resolution to support the women’s liberation movement by a large majority vote of around 75%.

Twitter is essentially providing covering fire for a lunatic cult of phony academics which also has asserted magic Hobbits lived in England until the 17th century and passed on their powers of levitation and telepathy to a secret massive European coven of witches, 9 million of whom were subsequently burnt by Christian men over 300 years. No less an august figure than the “shamanic power” Audre Lorde blurbed that madness in hardcover.

Sarkeesian is as mad as any of these frauds and was inspired by yet another women who is a virtual retard, bell hooks.

There is not one single stick of truth to this anti-male, anti-white lesbian liberation ideology which dreams Monique Wittig’s and Judith Butler’s dream of going back to a time when incest and lesbianism were much more common than now and which they hope to achieve via pronoun subversion, which is much like saying they intend to chant their way into landing on Mars.

Stipulating the accuracy of your assertions regarding Sarkeesian and company, I think we may be missing a bigger picture. Twitter itself has marginal utility for communication of well-reasoned ideas given its size limitations. For bloggers like RSM its value exists as pointer to meatier posts about the issues of the day. The Left is not concerned about the content of the tweets per se. Rather, it wishes to eliminate the publicity those tweets afford to posts such as this one.

The Progressive Left enjoyed a monopoly on media for years until the advent of the internet, which allowed anyone with a computer to reach millions, for good or ill. It allowed people to realize they were not alone. Thus the Left wishes to reestablish its monopoly on information and again isolate people from each other. This is not finished by a long shot. We’re already seeing search engines create algorithms to hide certain information. Don’t be surprised if/when ISPs are attacked for hosting “misogynist,” “racist,” or other “wrongthink” blogs.

In my opinion, you frighten these people. How long before some journalist goes through the top 100 women’s gender studies programs and provides a concrete estimate of what percentage of the faculty are lesbians? How long before the hateful text books which lay all historic and contemporary fault at the feet of men are exposed to the light of day? How long til there is a Senate committee televised live on C-Span directly questioning Judith Butler, Charlotte Bunch, Anita Sarkeesian, Brianna Wu and so many others so this country can see these unstable people defend their insane ideas and equally insane heroes? How long before such a committee recommends such hate Madrases be shut down at university?

  26. Fail Burton

On a somewhat similar note, I just had an unpleasant exchange with venerable SF author David Brin. On his blog he posted about an anthology he was in about free expression and I pointed out over third of the people in the anthology were SFF writers that supported Third Wave Feminism who would shut down free speech if they could.

While acknowledging that may be somewhat true, Brin chided me for being “insane” and not prioritizing and seeing the larger picture of a Murdoch-Limbaugh-Saudi axis, an “oligarchy” which will destroy the world and which I should fear more. He also admitted he didn’t have a free hand to speak his mind about Third Wave Feminism on his own blog out of fear of reprisal.

In other words Brin can write with a free hand about Murdoch-Limbaugh-Saudis but not about his Third Wave colleagues. If I am “insane” and “pathetic” then Brin is unknown orders of magnitude farther down the rabbit hole than I am, since it his colleagues who edit his very words on his own site. You can tell the truth by what men fear, not what they say they fear. Brin is a self-censoring prisoner of Third Wave Feminism, not Murdoch-Limbaugh-Saudis. He would last on Twitter exactly as long as his colleagues permitted.

So has anyone ever pointed out what concern trolls like Sarkeesian and co actually produce?

The fact of the matter is, the society which they decry and which they wish to destroy is that which allows them to exist and flourish while producing nothing of real value. Call it a variant of the “First World Problems” trope, if you like. For all their self-proclaimed enlightenment and sophistication, they exist in a cocoon of immense privilege (as much as I hate the current usage of that term), which insulates them from the rigors of life experienced by the vast majority of humans on this planet. As RSM notes, it’s a scam, but one that is possible only withing the “patriarchal” structures which they ostensibly loathe so much.

Stated differently, Sarkeesian can make a lot of money critiquing video games because there are farmers on the plains growing food and sewage treatment workers dealing with the byproducts.

What is it you wish to say? What does Sarkeesian produce? How does she benefit society? Why does she refuse to engage her detractors?

No one has threatened her here. Our host has posted actual excerpts and quotes from the feminist Left, of which the worthies you mention are members. Are those quotations and excerpts fabricated? Do these people not mean what they say? Who appointed them arbiters of culture with impunity to silence those who disagree with them?
