Feminist @SuzannahWeiss Hates All Men, So Why Would She Ever Date a Man?

Posted on | August 2, 2016 | 65 Comments

“Never Take Advice From Feminists” is a smart rule. Unless your goal in life is to become a Crazy Cat Lady, there’s not much expertise to be had from feminists, so why would anyone listen to Suzannah Weiss?

12 Signs Your Date Is Sexist —
Because ‘You’re Not Like Most Girls’
Is Not A Compliment

That’s the headline on a column Suzannah Weiss published in April, and it’s full of the “anecdote-as-evidence” method of feminist argument:

Anyone who has been simultaneously feminist and single knows that the struggle is real. It’s hard to spot sexists when you’re dating. . . .
A guy I was dating once . . .
I once met a guy on OKCupid . . .
I once had a date . . .

The problem with this is, how do we know it’s true? Suzannah Weiss is a feminist and all feminists are liars. Who are these guys? Do we have their names? Could we contact them to verify what Suzannah Weiss says about them? Or are they fictional characters like “Haven Monahan”?

Why should we believe that Suzannah Weiss has ever dated men at all? Is there any actual evidence of these alleged dates? Has any man ever stepped forward to admit he dated Suzannah Weiss? Of course not.

Everything Suzannah Weiss tells us about her sex life is unverified — there are no documents, no witnesses, no names or dates we can check — and yet she expects to be regarded as an expert authority on the subject.

All of this supposedly expert advice is coming from a 20-something who only graduated from college two years ago and, I repeat, where is the evidence that she has any experiential basis for offering this advice? Have we seen any affidavits from her ex-boyfriends that would support the idea she knows what she’s talking about? Doesn’t the absolute silence of Suzannah Weiss’s (alleged) sexual partners seem somewhat suspicious? Here she is, constantly talk talk talking about sex sex sex, and not a single guy has ever gone on record to admit having sex with her?

Ah, but she’s got a surefire way to weed out sexists:

If you want to know . . . if your date is a feminist, try bringing up current events that relate to women’s issues (a distaste for Donald Trump is a good sign; a distaste for Planned Parenthood is not) or describing your own feminism and seeing how they react.
Sometimes you’ve got to kiss a few sexist frogs before you find a feminist prince, but they’re out there.

WHAT IS HIS NAME?

Who is this “feminist prince” that Suzannah Weiss assures us is “out there”? All she would have to do is to name one guy she’s dated, and we could contact him to verify her claims to sexual expertise. Instead, what we have is nothing but her word for this and, considering that she writes for the notorious anti-male hate site Everyday Feminism, I am highly dubious of Suzannah Weiss’s claim that she has ever dated any men at all.

Who is this “feminist prince” that Suzannah Weiss assures us is “out there”?Did anyone else hear the haunting intro music for the X Files?

Well, Isabel Allende wrote steamy sex scenes and admitted she’d never had any of those particular experiences in her life. But with socialists, everything is pretty much imaginary, anyway.

Okay. Full stop. Asshat sign is lighted. Nobody who says that phrase, and means it, is a serious person worthy of consideration.

The truth is out there, Scully. Everyone knows that a man can’t be a real feminist, yet this woman has allegedly dated a feminist man. What if dramatic pause she– wait, I wasn’t supposed to say that.

What if… she isn’t lying, or at least as far as she knows… and she has dated someone who appeared to be both a feminist and a man. The question is… which part is false?

Is he not a feminist? Is he not a man? What if he’s both? If human men can only be a pale and/or cruel mockery of a “feminist”… as an ally and/or mack daddy… think of what that means.

As Sir Arthur Conan Doyle said through his character Sherlock Holmes, once everything else has been eliminated… whatever remains… however improbable… must be the truth.

What if Suzannah Weiss really did date a feminist man? Then either everyone throughout human history has been wrong about human nature… or… he can’t be a human feminist man… which means…

    She dated an alien.

We must find her, and find this man. The truth is out there, Scully. It’s just waiting for us to find it.

“A distaste for Planned Parenthood is not.”

No, honey, but it is a sure sign that your date has a soul, and is thus worthy of your affection. Unless you’re into the soulless evil thing (to each their own).

We have found the feminist prince.
It turns out that he is The Farmer that the pigs of Animal Farm
kept referring to in logical debate for their fair share allotment, in addition to ALL the windfall apples.
Coincidentally, he made SEVERAL recurring appearances in stories
    related by The Brothers Grimm.
We THOUGHT it was the Professor, Dr. Hugo Schwyzer ,…but….well…much mascara was ruined over that.
Wait…a distaste for planned parenthood, or a distaste for Planned Parenthood(tm)? I practice discrimination between the two.

    OT, but perhaps relevant.

Stacy, it looks like you were banned from twitter again? I tried to tweet a link to you about Jessica Valenti having received rape and death threats to her 5 year old daughter and her decision to quit social media. http://www.rawstory.com/2016/07/prominent-feminist-writer-drops-off-social-media-after-rape-threats-against-her-5-year-old-daughter/

Whether or not a person agrees with Ms. Valenti doesn’t matter. Threats against a person’s family members and especially their children are NOT acceptable.

Of course, at this time, all we have is her word on this threat. I’d have to see a screen cap of the tweet in question before believing the veracity of her claim. We all know how feminists like to conflate discourse on the social media platforms.

Unfortunately, the behavior of the hysterical drama queens has made claims of death threats a dime a dozen.

I have no idea what the actual incidence of real death threats may be though.

Conforming to ubiquitous grooming standards isn’t — strictly speaking — an *obligation* so I guess the answer to the question is “no”. But for men who aren’t looking for women afflicted with schizotypal personality disorder, shaved legs are usually a very good sign.

Assuming that that photo is of Miss Weiss, she has at least had the opportunity to copulate with men; she’s not exactly ugly.

I went ahead and read a couple of her articles, and I thought them to be quite reasonable: she was stating that she felt the desire for sex, but wanted to make certain that she was accepting having sex for rational reasons. Yeah, she throws some feminist claptrap in there, but when she is talking about her own, internal consent, and what she needs to feel to consent, I think that she’s being responsible about things.

Jessica Valenti having received rape and death threats to her 5 year old daughter…

I wonder if Jessie felt any traumatic feelings or any twinge of guilt at all as she fabricated these graphic death and rape threats against her own young flesh and blood?

Probably not. Hardcore ideologues of the Marxist-prog left consider their own to be just as expendable for “the cause” as they would consider any random stranger.

The libertarian writer Amy Alkon calls herself ‘the advice goddess’. Being a 52 year old spinster incorporates a failure of rhetoric if you’re in the proffered advice trade.

Carolyn Hax is paid by the Washington Post to write an advice column. Nice work for a divorcee who was pregnant at the time of her 2d marriage.

Then there’s Esther Pauline Lederer (nee Friedman), a.k.a “Ann Landers”. She divorced her husband in 1975, after 36 years of marriage (most failed marriages last about 6 years and the probability of someone married that long serving papers is < 2%). She had one kid, who turned out to be a repellent human being and has been all her adult life. She wasn't on speaking terms with her twin sister from 1957 to 1967 and then from roughly 1990 until her death in 2002. She couldn't be bothered to tell her sisters, her nephews, or her niece that she was ill with multiple myeloma, so they were all poleaxed to hear that she'd died. There was no funeral because she supposedly thought people make too much of a fuss over the dead. Her niece offered a posthumous elegy; her daughter Margo then vitriolically said cousin for doing that.
