Orwellian Crock, Or: We Took Control Of Health Care Away From Americans, In Order To Put Americans In Control Of Their Health Care

by Smitty (h/t The Lonely Conservative)

In defense of President Obama, he’s only half as lame as some other political figures appearing in infomercials. I can do better than that: if giving good website meant giving good health care, we’d be liking life with this effort.

Other than the realities that these ideas are un-Constitutional, have already failed in Europe, and we can’t afford them, I really don’t see any problems here.

Maybe he truly thinks he has to destroy American health care in order to save it.

It’s easy to understand, really. If you think the government is America, and all the people are just little cogs in the machine, you can see how taking control away from the people and giving it to the People is “putting Americans in control of health care”. It’s not what Americans want that matters. It’s what America wants that matters. And right now our sociopath in chief thinks *he* is America.

Thanks for the link. For some strange reason I’m not feeling any more in control of my health care.

[…] We are hearing the results of this kind of thinking all the time in America. “We need to sacrifice the free market to save the free market.” “We need to suspend personal liberty in order to save liberty.” “We need to restrict free speech on the Internet in order to save it.” Or, the latest one, “We need to make health-care less accessible in order to make it more available.” […]
