Impeachy-Keen Times For BHO’s Admin.?

The DC Caller:

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, a former chairman of the House Judiciary Committee where Attorney General Eric Holder testified on Thursday, suggested that impeachment of administration officials involved with Operation Fast and Furious may be the only way to bring the scandal to a close.
In a heated exchange between Sensenbrenner and Holder during Thursday’s Judiciary Committee hearing, Sensenbrenner said impeachment is one option on the table if Holder and the Justice Department continue to withhold information from congressional investigators.
Sensenbrenner didn’t specify which administration officials he thinks could face impeachment proceedings, or if Holder is among them. But he did say the drastic measure would be a last resort.

This is one of a half a dozen issues for which the GOP, and GOP presidential candidates, should be wrecking the Obama Administration on a daily basis.

In particular, I want know just how the candidates plan to reform the DOJ. Load-shedding major portions of the staff there seems draconian, but what credible alternative is there for restoring validity after this buffoon Holder?

I still maintain that Holder really doesn’t care one whit about these hearings or the threat of impeachment. Holder knows Barack’s got his back. That is, a pardon. The only way to threaten that is for a credible impeachment threat to emerge. But how do you get by the Worst Senator in History (six weeks and change until 1,000 days since last budget) in order to hold #OccupyResoluteDesk accountable?

Hillary just doesn’t seem up to a full-on coup here.

“This is one of a half a dozen issues for which the GOP…”. Are you kidding? The Gop has better things to do, like kill GOP presidental candidtaes or go golfing with The Won or giving The Won a $1.4T birthday presnt!
This is serious business and they don’t need rubes telling them what to do. Or as Boehner said 11-08 shut up and jest send money!

The Democrats would love for the GOP to impeach Holder, or any other administration Democrat. Nothing would return Reagan Democrats, independents, Blue Dogs, and sober Greens to the Obama camp than a good old fashioned impeachment.

Nope, best to establish all the facts, and turn them over to the family of Agent Terry for a good old fashioned civil suit in the jurisdiction of a friendly conservative judge  (there’s at least 2 left in America). Hit Holder where his heart is: his wallet.

The GOP may have lost this scandal on the name Fast and Furious.  The Brian Terry Killing scandal or the 2000 Guns for Mexican Drug Cartels scandal, now those would have been good names.

No, we shouldn’t be screaming F&F, or Solyndra and the other scandals, daily – yet.  We need to subpoena the documents and let Obama fight oversight like Nixon did.  Let the information develop itself and concentrate on getting it ALL, and NOT on drawing conclusions and holding the hangings too soon.  Let it peak as it matures.  As with CBS and F&F, there will come a time when the media just won’t pass on a juicy scandal story to carry water for anyone, no matter how joined at the hip they may be.

Holder is probably sure of a pardon whether needed at that time or not.  But others should not be so certain Obama will cover their butts.  The guy doesn’t like to work much, and signing a big stack of pardons when he could be using Air Force One for golfing in Florida in his last month in office may not seem a good deal to him.  At the rate he throws people under the bus, who is assured he will skip a tee time to sign their pardon?

I say, too, let the evidence mount some more, let the Administration stonewall and cover-up some more.

The key right now is to hold Messieurs Issa and Grassley’s feet to the fire, making sure they don’t go all wobbly.

Except that Holder wouldn’t pay a dime, because of sovereign immunity and the claim (if unimpeached) that he was carrying out the duties of his office and therefore entitled to reimbursement.

They should impeach Holder and then make sure every Senator that refuses has to defend against commercials identifying them as accessories after the fact to murder.
