Election Day Reminder

Woke up a little early -not early enough to do Live at Five, unfortunately, but early- and decided to throw this up as a cheap substitute.

Hopefully all of you will be voting and/or taking part in Romney’s GOTV efforts today, or working as election judges to make sure things are on the up-and-up even if it is close enough for them to cheat. (Ace is offering an incentive, as if you needed one.) Some of you have excuses for staying home, but unless you’ve been crippled by some burdensome medical condition, there is no excuse for not going to the polls and pulling the lever for Romney.
Randy Barrett explains in a WSJ column why voting Libertarian this year is counterproductive.
If you don’t know where your polling place is, what the hours are, or what the ballot looks like, this helpful link will get you what you need.

Now go out and win this thing! NOBODY STAYS HOME!

Well, I voted on the first day of early voting. And I have been donating money to the campaign.

    Repeatedly.

I keep getting these emails asking me to donate more. And I keep telling myself, gosh I already gave. Twice last month. But then I get another one from Ann Romney. And yeah, ok…I know it’s not really her, but…for some reason, when they send me an email with her name on it, I feel compelled to send another $15 or so. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’ve sent 3 donations in the last 6 days. I think the campaign is catching on to this.

The truth is, I’ve never donated to a political campaign before. But I don’t have a choice this time around. I need for Romney to win. I’m gonna lose my military medical treatments if Obamacare doesn’t get repealed. I really need those treatments. And I can’t get them outside of a military hospital.

So if any of you are thinking of sitting this one out, I’m begging you for the sake of all disabled veterans, PLEASE VOTE.

We’ve come too far to falter at the end. Persevere and finish him.

So tomorrow Live At Five-ish may proclaim, “Our long national nightmare is over!”

Whiteboard sign put outside my house today:

“These registered Democrats enthusiastically support Romney/Ryan!!”

I’m not going to let the voting pattens in this ultra blue state get me down, :^)

A bit of history that hasn’t been reported much: since their first national campaign in 1860, Republicans have won every single election which was held on the 6th of November.

As Yogi used to say, “You can look it up!”

If that fact keeps you from pulling your hair off for another 12 hrs, well sure…f*** “correlation” and “causation” and everything between them.

It’s been raining here, in Pinellas county (across Tampa Bay from Tampa), but the turnout this morning was pretty good. I got there ten minutes early, was let inside, with others – number #32 in line – to get out of the rain, and was done and leaving the parking lot at 7:35.

I always try to get to the polls by 7 in the morning. This was one of the busiest I have seen, though it’s a new precinct for me. I hope this bodes well for Romney/Ryan!

I’m watching the local FOX affiliate, this morning, as I usually do in the morning. Third time, so far, they’ve aired that silly Colin Powell ad for Obama. Bleahhh!

Tomorrow! No more “O” ads! YAY!

And a big THANK YOU! to you, Stacy, and Smitty for all you’ve done to keep us informed as well as knocking on hundreds of doors. My stomach is tied up in knots today. We’ve got to get rid of that commie jackass.

The place was much busier than it usually is, but our election volunteers were great and had everything moving smoothly. I saw lots of Republican signs and bumper stickers through my town on the way in and out to the polling place, most local but some for Romney, NOTHING for Obama or any other leftist. Did I mention that I live in New York State? But my town is total GOP town, small local offices have Republicans running unopposed every year, whatever dems may exist here know better so they don’t even try!

Have you ever actually seen Stacy? I’m 99.4% sure (obligatory Nate Silver dig) his metabolism actually thrives on fast food.
