Naomi Wu is a self-described “tech girl” and DIY enthusiast from Shenzhen, who advocates for open source hardware, transhumanism, body modification, and women in STEM. She’s got one of the most popular English-language YouTube and Twitter (@RealSexyCyborg) channels to come out of the southern PRC, and frequently clashes with First World feminists. Also of interest is her abuse by Vice, which sent a reporter to do interviews for three days and then betrayed her by failing to omit information that could have allowed the government to retaliate against her. So as you can imagine, she doesn’t have a lot of sympathy for “journalists” there losing their jobs as the clickbait sites implode.
