@DanRiehl Update

I went by and saw Dan Riehl in the Inova Fairfax ICU.


Dan has worked harder than most (e.g., me) on the effort to tear down the walls of the mainstream media Jericho over the last few years. You have to drop names like that of the late, lamented Andrew Breitbart to name somebody who was working harder on the restoration of the country.  Multitudes of folks echo the current news (and don’t stop; we make an important chorus) but Dan was a maker of news. His contacts and investigative skills (of which I had the merest glimmer of insight) allowed him to dig up crucial facts on a host of stories (go see Hating Breitbart for just one example).

Dan is a true leader, mentoring those who will listen, flogging relentlessly those who will not. I’ve no idea what the medical bill will be like for a few days in the Intensive Care Hotel, but it can’t be cheap. My intention is to swing by tomorrow, around noon, after doing some door knocking for the campaign. Hopefully, he’ll be conscious, so that I can take a picture. Do consider his tip jar, as you are able. I’ll have to wait until next week, after the mortgage has cleared, myself.

Oh Lord, pour out some grace on Dan and heal him. Fully. Soon. So that we can gather at Shelly’s Back Room after the election, for all Dan may eschew partaking of the combustibles.

    Thanks for the update. A good point was made in the comments about someone needing the keys to our sites in case something happens, so everyone who has a trusted blogger friend should consider sharing info. Not only the blog sites, but the twitter accounts too, to protect them.

    Will drop something in his Tip Jar, and prayers for his recovery.

    Prayers of health and healing for Dan. I cannot contribute to the tip jar, as I am an unemployed mom of 3 with breast cancer medical bills of my own. But I do know the power of prayer and the miracles it brings, so I’m lifting them up for Dan.

    This is the worst time financially for me, as I am moving. But if I can donate a dollar, and everyone who wants to help donates a dollar, that will add up. Finally, THROUGH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. I just wish God would send me an email rather than using life to teach me. But I want to say that trusting God and praying will do the most that can be done.

    I just did a stint in the hospital with a heart arrhythmia Quit smoking the next day. It’s been two months now and my last ECG said my heart was good…just mild pulmonary hypertension. (I had been a 2 pk a day smoker for over 35 years.)

    Still sending prayers out to Dan.

    Dan’s tip jar hit. I’m looking at two ginormous hospital bills–my husband’s recent surgery and my daughter just got out of hospital Thursday–but I scraped a few bucks together for Dan. He is one of the very, very good guys!!!!!

    Overworked, under-rested and thinking he was just sick, school clinic thinking he was just “stressed” from mid-terms. Almost lost him. They pulled a ton of fluid from his lung via needle. Keep praying for Dan!

    19 years old, biker bar, chick fight. Six days in the hospital (for me), twenty years in prison for Gracie (whose son I attended school with).
    Alcohol was involved.
