The Daily Mail carries the story the U.S. news is mostly ignoring:

It was a more muted affair for President Obama in Berlin today as he spoke at Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate before an invite-only crowd of 4,500 guests – a remarkable difference from the rock-star welcome he received five years ago in front of 195,500 cheering supporters.
Then, Obama had it all to play for – the glowing presidential candidate symbolizing America’s revived hope for the future. This time, he arrived back in Berlin under the cloud of NSA surveillance programs which have outraged many Europeans and the ever-growing crisis in Syria.

Some useless sack named Chris Matthews was trying to make excuses for why our Lawd & Savory bombed in Berlin:

    People are waking up, even though it’s a bit late. I think Germans cheered him on last time because they didn’t want to hear Chris Matthews call them a bucnh of Raaaaacists and peop[le who want to killsixmillionjews all over again.

    The Euroweenie commies are getting a brutal reality check in regards to President Zero.But I doubt they’ll turn away from the sweet, sweet taste of the socialism fantasy. It will not end well for them.

    I just hope we can avoid much of their fate.

    Since I listen through Rush’s website, I didn’t know those ads existed. However, Zuckerberg’s free to throw his money wherever he likes; he isn’t fooling anybody.

    Judging from the scan shots of the crowd, the “VIPs” seem disproportionately schoolchildren and college-aged kids.

    His first speech in Berlin was advertised as evidence of his foreign policy credentials.

    His second speech in Berlin is actual evidence of his foreign policy credentials.

    What I really hate about this is Germans preening over America’s recent fall. Given their history, I continue to be amazed they haven’t all committed suicide. Yet here they are, alive and mocking.

    Smitty, when you (Obama) believe that you’re always the “smartest guy in the room”, you can literally do no wrong. THerefore, it must be someone else’s fault. It must NEVER be your fault.

    Obama refuses to take responsibility for anything he says or does…he sicked the government on his political oponents through his repeated attacks on his political enemies. His use of “other” to blame for his failures leads his loyal minions to do his bidding without him saying, “you go do this.” People do things because they merely think that’s what his desire is…

    So, I believe the only way to get to the bottom ALL of the various scandals would be for the House of Representatives to appoint a Special Prosecutor…who would then have a mandate to follow through and actually offer immunity, criminal prosecution on issues like the IRS, Justice Dept, Fast & Furious, etc…we’d find that ALL have roots in the White House. That while not directly tied to Obama, they would ultimately end up with people who work directly for him…
