A triumphant return!

Here’s an interesting point of note: Matthew Boyle of Breitbart has come out strongly pro-Walker, based largely on his stance of limiting not only illegal immigration, but also legal immigration. If you go to the main page (or especially the Big Government page), you will see several newer articles by him on the same theme, supported by Katie McHugh.
Although Boyle at times reads like a campaign press release, Walker’s stance appears to be well-researched — including discussions with Sen. Jeff Sessions and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott — and makes a lot of sense to me. It also apparently polls well.
I don’t know, I just wanted to point this out. It’s kind of early for a writer to go “in the tank” for a specific candidate. My spidey sense is tingling that there’s more to it than just being a fan, but I’m also hearing a counter-chime that it doesn’t mean he’s wrong. (Sorry for the mixed metaphors; it’s hard to put intuitions into words.)

All in for a candidate is what a lot of writers do. For instance ACE jumping feet first and all in for Perry last cycle. Others were supporting Herman Cain from the very beginning. All of the above isn’t the same as being in the tank, some writers prefer to be in the fight as well as reporting it. It’s good work if you can handle disappointment.

DEA Chief To Resign After Sex Party Scandal
… and they said that nobody loses their job in the government.
Notice how after ever scandal gets some footing, there is a loud retort that government managers can’t fire anybody so there is no responsibility in government .. which is followed by .. crickets

With Alex Swoyer’s friendly interview of Carly Fiorina, I’m getting a clearer picture. It’s starting to look like Breitbart has encouraged (or at least allowed) its writers to pick a favorite and push them as much or as little as they want.
Another part of the pattern is that they are mostly staying positive, helping to make a case for a candidate without bashing the others (except to highlight differences). If that was an instruction, it seems to me like a reasonable one — especially since the commenters do enough bashing anyway.
