Guilt As A Binder

One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them–Tolkien

Over at Instapundit, Ed Driscoll points to Fernandez offering a power exposition on what the Center for Medical Progress has done.

I’ve always known that life begins at conception. This truth has been underscored by becoming a father. My two little guys (ages 4 and 1) that have curbed my blogging so severely underscore the preciousness of life. Legal gymnastics aside, what other defensible argument is there? The pursuit of evil, therefore, begins with a rejection both of truth and the need to pursue truth when we (inevitably) find ourselves off course.

And boy are we, culturally, off course! When an author like Fernandez juxtaposes your culture with that of Germany 80 years back, and you’re forced to admit that it’s a fair cop, that is a wrenching, sickening revelation. AND OUR TAX DOLLARS HAVE PAID FOR THIS!

I don’t accept guilt for actions I have not done; nor do I dispense guilt to others. I do encourage others in a positive way. Thus, my prayer is that God restore souls to the Planned Parenthood staff, who are surely as blighted as the human wreckage they purvey. Then, may God have mercy on their souls.

And may we all understand that the evil of Planned Parenthood is of a piece with the rest of the falsehoods in circulation today. For example, global warming.

Let us understand that Progressives are those who would bind, via one lie or another.

What do you do when the barbarians have seized power and are using the unconstitutional power of the state to suppress liberty and any dissent and engage in genocide against “undesirable elements?”

We have seen this play out in Soviet Russia, Mussolini’s Italy, Nazi Germany, Italy, Communist China, Pol Pot’s Cambodia and Ho’s Viet Nam over the past 95 years. Hundreds of millions dead, offered up to the gods of “socialist progress!”

Why do we think it will be any different here if we don’t put a stop to it?

Good rhetorical questions. I guess this will be the acid test of whether there is anything to the whole “American Exceptionalism” thing.

It won’t be any different here. The moment a baby–or any person– can be “dehumanized” is the moment s/he becomes a commodity to be used for whatever purpose the powers that be see fit.

The problem is multi-fold, of course, beginning with the Left’s crusade to make Truth and Morality relative. On a micro-level, however, Roe v. Wade provides the perfect out for politicians. It allows them to preach against abortion, all the while knowing that there is nothing democratically anyone can do, as long as the ultimate decision resides with the courts. Thus, nominal “conservatives” can have their cake and eat it, too. Garner Prolife votes while knowing that if they get their intern pregnant, the problem will “disappear” and not affect their chances at reelection.

There is no guilt or shame. Just political calculations. I do not think Hillary or Barack are particularly passionate about abortion, they just know how their bread is buttered.

“I’ve always known that life begins at conception. This truth has been underscored by becoming a father.”

Many times I have told people that anyone who doubts the existence of God has not held a baby, their baby, in their arms. To think that that little bundle of perfection is the result of pure chance, a lightning bolt hitting a puddle of pond scum a couple of million years ago … I feel sorry for them.

It will be a test of whether or not it still exists. I think we’d be safe in saying the answer is no.

The fact that millions of people carrying torches, pitchforks, and lengths of rope have not decended on DC to “assist” most pols with their now-immediate “re-election campaigns”, if you want to call them that, pretty much attests to that fact.

You know, “shemita” means “shaking”. And the Jubilee year is a “super shemita”, so a “super shaking” IS going to occur. The nations – most especially this one – will receive super judgments from God as His last (and I do mean last) warning before His wrath rains down upon an unrepentant world. (Yes, I AM prophesying.)

So the most immediate necessity is for people who are going to, to get right with God, because when He decides to pull the trigger (i.e., start breaking seals), time’s up and there’s no further warnings. And, He likes to do things when they are least expected. So the time for action is literally NOW.

I only know my own visions of a Doxening in which all encryption is cracked by consumer-level tech. I think we have between 2-5 years to get ourselves right with society.

There will be an advantage in job interviews to having a clean history, including bank statements, before the Event. You changed your ways before you had to.

That might dovetail with Biblical prophecy in terms of some kind of subdermal implant becoming the only secure form of ID, but that is not my business. I only know about the Doxening (and yes that’s what I’m calling it).

I have never had a child of my own, but it works for those of us who weren’t so Blessed, as well.
