Heres what our state run broadcaster considers a “good” nes story.

An ugly slut who has found herself a niche in the BDSM porn market talking about how it should be considered a normal job.

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-12-04/coming-out-like-a-porn-star/6978308

“Gala’s father was the first family member who she told about her career choice.

“He had a couple of drinks really fast,” she says.

“At that time I was like, I’m moving to another country, to work in porn. It was a whole lot of stuff for him to take at once.

“It was really good because I think that opened up some space for us to talk about other things, and for him to feel a little less shame around sexuality stuff for himself. So I think that was a really healthy thing.”

Having a career that is still largely taboo means that ‘coming out’ is an ongoing process — to family, friends, partners, even the hairdresser.

“Like someone at the bank, if I go to do something with my bank account and they’re like ‘what do you do’, I’ll be like ‘I’m a hooker’,” she says.

“I might as well get some entertainment out of this, if I’m going to be stigmatised, it might as well be fun.”

Her experience is featured in Coming Out Like a Porn Star, a new book by genderqueer pornographic actor Jiz Lee, which features stories from adult film industry workers around the world.

As a woman who is now relatively open about her career in erotic film production and as a BDSM (bondage and discipline, dominance and submission) practitioner, Gala hopes that one day saying “I work in the sex industry” is as commonplace as saying “I work in finance”.

“Why don’t people who work in retail have to come out about that?” she says.”…

There you have it what a billion and a half dollars a year of taxes puts out for consumption.
