A mother notices what should be obvious to everyone:

Unfortunately, in its earnest quest for female empowerment, America . . . is quietly and methodically marginalizing boys.

Read the whole thing. Mothers of sons consider this unfortunate, but feminists like Amanda Marcotte, Jaclyn Friedman, Jessica Valenti and Alexandra Brodsky are enthusiastically in favor of marginalizing boys. Feminists despise successful men and resent male achievement, and seek to eliminate educational and career opportunities for boys.

    It seems that, in this age where hatred of whites and males is common and accepted, the most frequent targets of accusations of racism and sexism (white men) are the people least likely to be sexist and/or racist.

    It all goes back to the zero-sum game mentality feminism borrowed from Marxism in the 1960s. The mechanistic concept of “oppression,” dividing humanity into two groups and inciting hatred between them, leads to the same harmful outcomes whether it is rich/poor, black/white or male/female. Feminists deny that any man has ever done anything to benefit any woman. Every dime that any mine has, he has “expropriated” from the oppressed “sex-caste” of women — this is the feminist worldview, which justifies feminists in their pursuit of an unlimited warfare against males, and against every institution of society.

    It has something to do with the “mandatory” antidepressants/ speed prescriptions, STEM, and easily piss-standing-up in “segregated” bathrooms gap.

    Singling out Penis People (esp. pale) just makes it easier to claim more “allies” in “deep thoughts”, than actually exist.

    It was a clarifying moment for me when I simultaneously realized that not only is most of life not zero-sum, but that thinking of society, productivity, and so on as zero-sum is actually the cause of most of that mindset’s perceived problems. My tolerance for such nonsense dropped quickly and has never recovered.

    Not much of an epiphany, perhaps, but it made a huge change in how I see the world.

    Just to hammer the “girls rule” message home, at one point during “Wild
    Kratts Live,” apropos of absolutely nothing, a crazed cartoon Aviva
    suddenly shouted to the crowd: “GIRLS ARE GREAT AT SCIENCE!” There was a
    moment of puzzled silence from the audience; then, of course, a
    smattering of obligatory clapping. Finally, after this awkward spurt of
    well-intentioned propaganda, the show mercifully moved on.

    Well, Heather, you should’ve considered ending the show for your three boys right then and there, explaining to them that they had just been insulted and that you, as their mother, aren’t the kind of mom who rewards people who insult her sons.

    Sure, they might’ve been momentarily upset at leaving the show early, but in a few years, as the hostility toward them becomes overt and unapologetic, they would look back on the act and recognize it the act of motherly love that it would have been.

    Oh, and F*** YOU, Chris and Martin Kratt, and everyone who works for your show.
