Feisal’s Mental Jiu-jitsu Revealing Animus

This week’s FMJRA shouts out to all those who are unmoved by the Ground Zero Mosque mastermind, Feisal. Sometimes, even sincere gifts just don’t pass muster, though I’d not accuse Feisal of sincerity. Don’t call the US, dude: We The People will call you. Not real soon, though.

Also, Right Klik points to Delia Lopez, running for Congress to represent Portland, Oregon, a D+19 district (Hah! VA-8 is D+44, and we’re still going to wreck Moran at the ballot box). Go, Oregon! Go, Americans!

On with the show.

      “Obama and the MFM staked the entirety of their credibility and judgment on the assertion that this was a moderate man interested only in peace, and of course in no way a supporter of terrorism”
      Man, I thought Ace was this giant in the Right, but it turns out he’s just another knucklehead Conservitard.
      BO didn’t stake his credibility anymore than the Right staked their entire credibility on Donald Rumsfeld. Ace’s wishful thinking has gotten the best of him again. In the same post he tries to convince us that Bush calling on Feisal to be his Muslim “ambassador” is irrelevant. Uh huh. Why is Ace so invested in this cheap propaganda?
      “and anyone who suspected otherwise was an ignorant bigot with a heart full of hatred.”
      Uh, yeah. You see, you guys went batshit crazy before you knew anything about the man.Even if Feisal was proven to be a moderate,or the prince of peace himself, you would still oppose the project. That is the definition of bigotry.

      I think reasonable people can agree to wait for the evidence before we rush to judgement. But given the way the Breitbarts of the world work, maybe that’s asking too much from Conservitards.
      You guys just better hope that this isn’t another Shirley Sherrod case.
      I’ll calmly await the outcome…

      @Y4E,
      Across the political spectrum of the Ruling Class, one gets the impression that there is significantly more going on behind the scenes.

      Starting with the photo of a young Don Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein, right up through Michael Bloomberg going all-in for the Ground Zero Mosque.

      I’m really not much of a supporter for Ron Paul’s non-interventionist ideas–he blithely ignores the last century’s historical complications–but you have to admit that the hand he plays is a consistent one.

      Yeah, there is more than meets the eye when it comes to the upper echelons of power.
      I’m not one for conspiracy theories and in general I feel that speculation is the cute cousin of assumption. And we know what assuming makes of both of us.
      I haven’t familiarized myself with Paul’s ideas. He may be consistent in some areas. But his rhetoric turns me off.
      Now you have to admit, Smitty, that before the Right gets all giddy about these “audio tapes”, that there is the real risk of ending up with some serious egg on their faces. Following the Sherrod fiasco it would be a devastating blow to the credibility of the Right. Everything I have read so far sound really flimsy. Do you think in this digital age that an audio tape will carry much weight?

      @Y4E,
      Casting back over the last 20 years of history, considering recent reads of Aayan Hirsi Ali and Andrew McCarthy, and considering which side the usual idiots are lining up on the issue, I conclude:
      serious consideration of all aspects of the GZM issue is going to make the Left look bad.
      Fortunately, we’re good at avoiding serious consideration, of this and so many issues.

      Oh gawd, how dramatic! I imagine you typing up that silly sentence while some cheesy action movies soundtrack is playing in the back.
      You ask us to choose? I choose neither. Go suck on that!
      Like it or not, Islam is not at war with us. If you can’t differentiate between some Muslims who want to wage war against us and the whole of Islam then there is little hope for you. Ironically, it is your type of melodramatic fool that some Muslims are betting on to fall for that religious war tripe.

      Smitty,
      I’m glad you mentioned “serious considerations”, because i haven’t yet seen the Right engage in any serious consideration of the “GZM”. Up to now, everything has been rumor,innuendo and speculation bordering on paranoia.
      Imagine how powerful a well reasoned argument based on PROOF that Faisal was not an honest broker, how that would play out.
      I disagree that it’s going to make the Left look bad. That’s more wishful thinking than anything else.We will fight the reactionary tendencies of the Right every step of the way until we are confronted with arguments that are not intended to be used for political gain. The Right sees this issue as fodder for their very weak/vague political agenda.
      We get nowhere with these zero-sum games…

      @Y4E,
      When looking at troubled arguments with which it is hard to agree, most of the dodgier stuff seems predicated on narrowing the timespan under consideration. The Left, in the GZM case, seems intent on not considering the 1993 attack on the WTC, and the 2001 attack that took it down, and the friction here, in Europe, and in the Middle East of which the GZM is but a small example.

      So, engaging in a context- and history-free discussion of GZM, you are of course correct; this is, as Kn@ppster would agree, a simple private property issue, case closed, nothing to see here, move on.

      You win, and may your prize not enjoy you in too excruciating a fashion.
