Honestly, I don’t see how that would do jack. We don’t even have drones in support of the Free Syrian Forces, and I don’t think we can count on their (presumed) anti-Russian attitude to automatically mean they want to be our BFFs.

Adjoran’s got a point. Assad is already on the other side; anyone that replaces him is going to be at least 2% less evil and is going to take a while to get things straightened out domestically (i.e. butchering any Alawites dumb enough to remain in-country) before getting back to meddling with the Lebanese and Palestinians.
