Got Your Back, Ali Akbar

Maybe you don’t know Ali Akbar, but he is one of the most effective New Media operatives in the conservative movement. Along with Melissa Clouthier, Ali was a driving force behind Blog Bash.

Love him, hate him, it doesn’t matter. The guy makes things happen, and when there’s a fight online, you want him on your side.

Trust me on that. He’s not as scary as Dan Riehl — who is? — but Ali’s scary enough that you wouldn’t want to be on his enemy’s list.

It was therefore shocking to me today to learn that a mutual friend was badmouthing Ali on e-mail lists.

Are you kidding me? Are you crazy? He did you a huge favor, at my request, and you pay him back like this?

Uh-uh. I’m with Ali, period.

    What’s going on around here? Fight Club? I know I’m breaking the first two rules, but this has to be asked.

    I’m going to take this as a sign that the Dextrosphere is chomping at the bit to get out of the primaries and tear Team Obama a new one.

    I, for one, am about to start *yawning* at people who profess Christianity out the left corner of their mouths, and spew venom from the right.
    I’ve more respect for atheists who pull such than nominal Christians who are unloving in reproof.

     You weren’t showing much of teh Christian when you failed to call me to inquire about accusations against me. I would have been more than happy to speak on the horn or would have called you. I got nothin’ —- Just yanked off a blogroll with no due process.

    Which is what those people wanted. (DoublePlusUndead is who I refer to…)

    Either way, whoever is bad mouthing is a coward. I always say; if you ain’t got the stones to say it to one’s face. Don’t say it at all. I left a Church once because of a Pastor who did that very thing.

    …and by the way; it’s “Thoughts and Rantings” not “Thoughts and Ramblings” You might want to correct that in your posting regarding me.

    Name names and show the offenses, or keep it on the lists.  What purpose is served by a post which tells no one anything who wasn’t in on the original exchange (and wouldn’t need an update)?

    I don’t know Ali, but he seems cool, and I am Stacy’s friend, a loyal friend, so Ali can count me on his side as well if he needs support!
    I haven’t been blogging much since I have been ill, but my illness makes me cranky, so I am all in if there’s a brawl I can go kick some asses in for my friends (or my friends’ friends)! 
    Just show me who I should be stomping on – I am already wearing my boots!
