Why is everybody getting nervous about the euro and Euro-banks and the EU all of a sudden? Why, didn’t Merkel just agree to a whopping $160 billion in stimulus spending? Why, that and a sudden worldwide Ouzo craze could almost get Greece moving again!
This has been a train wreck we’ve all been watching in extreme slow motion for over two years, and so many are still betting Superman is going to swoop down between them and save the day. Folks, he ain’t coming.

Great work! Orrin may be receiving about as much affection as George Allen here in VA. I don’t disklike the guy, but I’m more intense about ejecting Jim Moran.

You’re welcome!

The ongoing jitters over the euro have become such a regular part of the business/finance news that it’s almost not really news any more.

What I found really interesting about the main story on the Utah Senate primary was the WaPo story whose headline claimed Hatch had a comfortable lead…but had no polls or anything else in the article talking about that. Hmmm.

Let me get this straight: The WH and our media celebrate a religious coup of Egypt as democracy in action but kindergartners singing ‘God Bless America’ in the park get heckled by adults and Obama won’t salute the flag? ‘Kay…

It’s liberalism, Red, forget it.

To paraphrase: Something’s rotten in Washington. Forget it not come November I say, for whatever difference an honest vote and some outspoken blogs can make.

Who is going to spend money polling a blowout? Well, finally, Deseret News has, finding Hatch well ahead, 60-32%.
As I’ve said all along: Hatch didn’t ignore the Party or the voters and just assume he would win like Bennett two years before, and that he would win easily. Some of my conservative friends and colleagues here and elsewhere have insisted I am full of it, which may or may not be true in itself, but I’m right.

I need to quit making classical references to movies I actually haven’t seen yet. Don’t worry, I’m making it to the polls in November if I have to crawl a half-mile through broken glass. Fortunately, it’s not that rough a neighborhood…

Yeah, Bennett getting dumped was a wake-up call for Hatch, and he definitely has been doing his groundwork, but still…the WaPo couldn’t scrape up even one internal poll?
