Obama is now advocating less of a tax cut than he could not convince the Democratic Senate to pass two years ago. And that he only wants a one-year extension should tell everyone what happens to their taxes if Fustercluck Boy gets reelected.
Raw material inventories in China are starting to mount up, so we can’t count on Asia leading a worldwide recovery. Europe is still trying to figure out if they can write themselves and check and hold it, and here we have Obama snuffing out any hope of resurgence like he was tossing babies into a blender.
Things aren’t looking so hot – so naturally, market futures are up.

The “LIBOR scandal” will never become the major scandal it should. It is or should be a much bigger deal than most people realize.

The spin on this is wondrous to behold, is it not? There’s no “tax cut” involved – the proposal is to continue the “Bush tax cuts” for everyone earning below $250K, and let them go back to the pre-2001 rates for those over $250K. Once people catch on to this, most of the middle class is going to turn its back on Obama.
