The British press and politicians are having an Olympic field day at Mitt Romney’s expense, with assistance of U.S. media.

Never mind that we twice bailed them out against the Huns, eh? Maybe they’re still pissed off about us sending them Madonna.

    I did enjoy Romney’s backhand to Brian Williams on the “boring white” veep position.  

    As for London, his comment he wanted Winston’s bust back in the White House was well said too.

    If you sent me moddona, I’d be P’Oed too. But I verys seriously doubt that’s the problem. Slow suicide is much closer to teh truth and they are resenting the result.

    Worst case scenario:  Olympics come off without a hitch, summer rolls on, trip is forgotten.

    Possible scenario:  security problems and labor problems cause major hitches, Romney looks prescient.  And his mockers look like idiots.

    In any case, I’m sure Obama is glad for anything that draws attention from the economic numbers proving what a miserable failure he’s been.

    All Publicity is good publicity. The only people miffed at this are thin skinned Brits (But even Piers Morgan said Romney was correct and the British papers have been complaining about the prep for months) and liberals and the MSNBC. The rest of the folks who hear it think, “Well, Romney did save the SLC Olympics. What’s the big deal about the criticism?”

    Fortunately for the reputation of the United States, he is being referred to “Wannabe President” by the Rupert Murdoch tabloid, The Sun, which is running a headline of Mitt the Twit.
    It is far better for this to come from a “Wannabe President” than an actual President. If only Murdoch’s media outlets in the United States would adopt the nickname given to Romney by The Sun.

    I have a centuries old grudge against those bastards bred into my blood anyway, being descended from Irish Catholic “famine” (it was actually a democide holocaust) survivors and all. England can go to hell, they are 3/4 of the way there (or to mecca – same difference) anyway. If Mitt is upsetting the euro-dhimmi-socialist  snob jackasses, that us just fine by me and makes me like Mitt even more. When did America ever give a fuck about what our lessers think of us anyway (well before the Obama downgrade)? Screw them. The British, and all of Europe, are inferior, and should be kissing our asses, not the other way around. Screw them.

    British media are irrelevant to U.S. voters except inasmuch as the U.S. Democrat-media-complex will pretend that the British are “up in arms” about this – even then, they’ll get little mileage out of such a meme.

    Adjoran is correct (above): either the Olympics go off without a hitch and 99 percent of non-progressive/non-Dem American voters have no idea in November what Romney said in Britain in July; or, if something does happen, THEN it actually becomes a mini-story that Romney was prescient.

    The English (or at least their ruling class that the idiots keep voting to keep in power) are a bunch of culturally suicidal socialist islamocoddling dhimmi jackasses, as the rapid and continual deterioration of their society clearly illustrates, as does their voluntary surrender of their national sovereignty to the tyrannical European Union.
    I think the only Brits remaining who are not suffering from cranial anal inversion are probably in, or supporters of, the EDL.
