    In Rhetoric, “fair” is what is known as a “god term,” a word or phrase that means nothing specifically but evokes a generally positive response in the listener.  Other such terms are often used by politicians, like “work together,” “common ground,” and the like.  Candidates were long known to be for “Mom, and apple pie.”

    Obama’s only hope is the “low-information voter,” the person who either through apathy, ignorance, stupidity, or mental defect just can’t figure out what a lying commie jerk he is and can be influenced by saying Romney killed a lady and Obama wants “fairness.”

    Noboby can define the term fair, in practical terms.   Thus a politician like Obama will always have an unlmited supply of unfairness to run against.

    Someone I know defined fair as that event that happens out at the Fairgrounds once a year.  Nothing else in life is fair.
