So, where are we on the Kübler-Ross curve? I’m accepting of the fact that all appeals to intellect have failed. No teachers, short of Pain and Time, are going to have any effect.
One can find a little balm for the wound in having joined in the chorus of warning. But really: aren’t actual results more interesting than I-told-you-so’s?

Just about the only good news about ObamaCare is that it may FINALLY communicate what we’ve said for five years: BHO is not merely your garden-variety politician having a casual relationship with truth. Chuck Todd does not seem convinced that OccupyResoluteDesk is aware he lied about keeping insurance plans.

It doesn’t seem to add value to run around calling people “liar”. This is, rather, a great moment to get people to step back and give everything some sober consideration:

I used to think I could predict where things were heading. The only rational response to the idiotic course this country has steered since, oh, Reagan, would be reform. The flaw in my thinking was the word “rational”. If there is a logic to what’s gone on the last five years, it is the ‘logic’ of the crotch.

The crash seems inevitable. The question is “How bad?” I’m betting against a full-on dystopia, but who can be certain?

Via Instapundit, PJ Media floats the question: “Does Jay have a double standard?” Well, sure. But Ted Cruz packs such intellectual heat that even a bugbearista like Candy Crowley can’t make him blink.

The path to recovery seems to be:
1. Locate Ted Cruzes.
2. Elect them.
3. ???
4. Profit

Prepare for full blown dystopia and pray for God’s intervention and mercy. The frogs are in boiling water and screaming, “hotter! Hotter!”

I don’t think it will result in dystopia soon after, but that will come. Betting against the stupidity of the electorate is a losing proposition in a Dimocracy.

I’m also one of those “strange” people that think it’s all been outlined in scripture.

I think it’s outlined in Scripture, both in the organizational behavior sense of the Pharisees always rising, yeast-like, to the top of the ale vat, and in the Apocalyptic sense of the climax.

The nuance I offer is that, while I refuse to sweat the load, knowing that the Lord’s will always be done, I can’t translate that into a complacency about evil.

I don’t sweat it either. Like you, I don’t think the fight ends as we are commanded to “Occupy til I come.” The world is on its final descent into madness, and as depravity increases God’s response is to raise a standard. The fight isn’t over until God says it’s over.

Cruz must have been thinking too fast, which is understandable, because at 2:50 in the 2nd video he let Jay go right by with the encrusted old lie that 25% of Texans don’t have healthcare….not health INSURANCE, healthCARE. I wish Cruz had jumped in his face on that.

Leno inadvertently came close to but only side-swiped the main issue. Let a Democratican politician finally tell the truth and offer a bill to make the government give every American over 18 years old a check for $20 million dollars.
The good results? It would cost less over time and be very simple to do.
The bad results? In five or ten years 20 to 30% of the population would be broke.
The indifferent results? 5 to 10% of the population would be rich. The rest of us would probably be OK at various levels in between.
The best thing? No one would ever feel the necessity to vote for a Democratican again.

Leno did Cruz and the TEA Party an enormous, and very open service: Obama and Democrats have never, ever had such an in-depth, tough interview as Leno gave Cruz. Not even Jon Stewart dares get so informative. Leno is likely a closet TEA Partier, and gave Cruz the opportunity to present conservatism in a positive light to millions who only know what the MSM and their unions tell them.

I doubt that Leno is a closet Tea Partier, but I agree that he did our side a lot of good. Cruz is articulate and personable, and no phony. He is not “severely Conservative” but a true Conservative. If only we had more like him and Mike Lee.
